Today marks this site's five year anniversary, or at least, close enough (yes, five years of "Coming Soon"... I know it's sad). I *wanted* to have something cool for you guys today, but due to busyness/laziness/WoW..iness it's not ready (sorry!). Soon™!
Speaking of "coming soon", I actually hope to have some real site content coming. Again, soon™! But keep an eye out.
In any case, thanks to everyone that helped to keep this site alive for so damn long (hey, at least forums count as content!). We wouldn't be here without you. So thanks!
And hey, I brought a cake!

Blizzard just announced that the closed beta for the next expansion, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, has just begun. That also means the NDA on the alpha and any further information is lifted. Post to your heart's content.

Yes, after months of waiting, the first batch of lore questions answered by the CDev team have arrived! You can find them right here. Of note, tons of info on Tyr (and what influenced the Knights of the Silver Hand's name), the Light, moonwells in Eastern Kingdoms, Med'an in Cataclysm, the origins of the Tol'vir and Ethereals, Goblin Shamen, and more!

New Cataclysm Previews

A few sites were recently able to visit Blizzard HQ and brought back some new details on Cataclysm. The main bullet points - Path of the Titans is gone (likely replaced by a new tier of Glyphs), Archeology will be more focused on cosmetic rewards, Guild Talents replaced by a "perks" system, new raid systems in place to prevent being locked into a bad run (i.e. a bad pug that can only kill the first boss) and down-ranking a 25 man into 3 10 mans, and the first raid of the expansion will be the "Bastion of Twilight" featuring Cho'gall as the final boss.

IMPORTANT: Update to our NDA policy

Hey guys. So, you may have noticed that MMO-champion recently decided to take down all of its cataclysm leaks from the F&F alpha, and to be honest, we're going to follow suit. This is only a temporary measure- once the NDA drops in a few months, everything will be back up in the open. No one's posts are going to be deleted, just moved out of the way for now.
I want to have full disclosure here: This is mostly on me. I want to keep SoL in Blizz's good graces, and you guys KNOW that they read our site. Additionally, everyone whose opinion I value in the matter has advised me, personally, to do this. I morally object to internet censorship, and so I understand the hypocrisy in doing this. If you want to be angry at any admin, take it out on me, Omacron. Hopefully, you'll all understand that I do this only because I truly believe this is best for the site.
All information about the Cataclysm alpha will be locked and hidden- this includes posts that link to other sites that have NDA breeches. Official information, such as zone updates and screenshots directly from blizzard, are safe, and I encourage you to talk about them. People found leaking Alpha information will recieve a warning and usually moderation of their post or thread, repeated action may result in a ban.
TLDR Version: I'd like to be invited back to Blizzard and don't want to piss them off, so we're censoring your asses. Want to be angry? I'm open to PMs.
