Yet More WotLK Beta Shots!

Once again, the gallery has been updated with another batch of beta shots, starting right here.
With the new patch, some new stuff is in. First off, the calendar! This handy feature tells you when in-game holidays are coming up. Supposidely it will also list raid reset timers, but it doesn't seem to do that right now. Also added, Dalaran Sewers!! I spent most of last night running around them. They are very cool - kind of a Phantom of the Opera vibe to them :D Of course, Blizzard in their infinite desire to torture players, left a nice hole in the shop just left of the Violet Citadel which promptly drops you into the underground bank vault, never to escape -_- Well, I could have escaped if my hearth wasn't on cooldown ;) After about 20-30 mins hanging out down there, a nice large collection of players started to accumulate, until a Mage finally dropped down. Just as he was about to portal us out, a GM saved us -_- Lovely timing!
That aside, I decided to do some more exploring. I went through a few more Dragonblight locations, up through a bit of Zul'Drak (very awesome looking zone btw), and down to Grizzly Hills (even more awesome looking). Grizzly Hills is just beautiful and I tried to hit up some of the major locations. The Westfall Brigade Encampment not only has the return of Gryan Stoutmantle (with a great reference to the VanCleef quest rewards), but a funny Bambi reference too. I also went down to Venture Bay, which as far as I could tell, appears to be a Halaa-like PvP capturable town. As I arrived, Horde and Alliance NPCs were duking it out, but towards the center the Alliance seemed to have control. The presence of a token vendor seemed to indicate the PvP-ness of it to me.
Finally I headed down to Howling Fjord which was also quite awesome. One of the achievements involves killing 15 turkeys there, which I have to say, has some hilarious results.
Anyways, enjoy.

Beta Screenshots, Part 3

A new batch of beta screenshots have arrived, starting right here. Other than the first few, most of these cover changes from the new patch. In particular, Dalaran changed quite a bit, and finally mounts and pets are learnable (though not immediately, it took a hotfix :P). Also included are shots of the Barbershop in action, a crazy lighting bug in Ironforge that looks awesome, and shots of Varian Wrynn, Broll, and Valeera in SW Harbor!

More Beta Screenshots!

I've just uploaded another batch of screenshots from the beta, which you can find starting right here (and yes, that's the Outland loading screen.. not sure why the logo is in Chinese but I assume it won't stay that way).
This batch features screenshots of Northrend! After trying unsuccessfully to get to Wetlands "quickly" (it would seem the Auberdine boat no longer goes there -_-), I ended up taking the boat out of Stormwind Harbor to Borean Tunda (you know, after I actually made it on the second time, considering you have to jump the gap :P). No King Varian Wrynn to be found in Valliance Keep, despite rumors to the contrary :( But the zone itself seemed pretty neat. I did a few quests, got sick of the lag (server was ready to crash), and decided to head to Dragonblight and then up to Dalaran.
I did take a short detour to Wyrmrest Temple (very awesome) and Frostmourne Cavern on the way though. Which was surrounded by Scarlet Crusaders working with Death Knights (don't ask me to explain that one, I assume the quests will....) Frostmourne's pedestal was.. um... a little disappointing... emphasis on "little". Really hope that one's getting some fancier art :P
Of course, Dalaran did not disappoint. It still looks like it has a long way to go in terms of development (The Violet Citadel wasn't even accessable), but so far it's looking awesome. And there are a lot of little touches that are great, like the owner of WarcraftPets.com and this absolutely awesome reference. The city seems to be divided similar to Shattrath, but instead of two neutral factions, it's divided into Horde and Alliance sections. I couldn't go to the Horde side, but I assume it mirrors the Alliance - portals to every Alliance major city (and Shattrath), and an inn. I assume they will add more "faction-specific" NPCs as well in the future. There was also the Dalaran Prison dungeon which was not accessable but still looked freakin' awesome.
Anyways, enjoy the shots ;)

Sons of the Storm is once again updated, mainly with some more WoW TCG artwork (but nice artwork).
No Diablo 3 artwork though - apparently that is coming "soon," so expect more updates on the way.
