This might actually be nice for ppl like me who can't go :(

Edit: Semi unrelated but related to wowradio:

*sigh* This guy is such a dork. And he is either making shit up or being so general that it doesn't matter. Gee, there are Silithid in Silithus?! Who would have guessed! Thank you for that lovely bit of lore! Then he goes on to talk about how Thunderaan and all those elementals are "rogue" and not part of the normal elementals or something. How does he come to this conclusion? I don't know. For some reason he thinks it's impressive to realize that Brann Bronzebeard is related to Magni and Muradin (in his words.. "Ehhhh?? Ehhhhhhhh??"). And really, if you are going to do a word broadcast, at least learn how to pronounce Ajol-Nerub (it's not "Agol-Nerub").

But yeah, I am still listening to this and it's boring me to tears. Gee, I didn't know Gul'dan tried to summon Sargeras! And of *course*, the Twilight's Hammer Clan was found by the Old Gods and made to do their bidding! That *must* be what happened  You could learn everything this guy knows by just playing the freaking games and not skipping past the story. And when I say "playing the freaking games" I of course exclude WarCraft 1 and 2 because I'm not even sure he has played those. *sigh again*

If I ever start to sound like this guy, please shoot me :D

Edit2: Now he is talking about the Elemental Invasion little world events. "This just screams invasion!" Well gee, considering the event is called "Elemental Invasion," yes, I hope it would -_- I don't know how much longer I can listen to this. How the fuck does he get Al'Akir as a raid boss in Ahn'Quiraj? AND YOU WILL NOT FIGHT AN OLD GOD. YOU WILL DIE 1000 HORRIBLE DEATHS IF YOU FIGHT AN OLD GOD. IDIOT. Gee, let's make a creature who is so powerful the Burning Legion itself are ants compared to it a raid boss! 40 people to take down an Old God!! Weeeeee!

Edit3: haha.. "Noosedormoose's Brood"! HIS HOME IS TWO ZONES AWAY! OH MY GOD! (and what is an Arget Dog?)

Edit4: Oooo.. the Emerald Dream is so dreamy! How much you wanna bet he doesn't even know about the Nightmare? Yeah, he doesn't know shit. "The entire Emerald Dream is corrupted" -_- Next thing you know he'll say something like - YSERA THE CORRUPT - RAID BOSS! haha

To correct his crap (with crap I knew weeks ago, Kenzuki will back me up), my current theory - the Nightmare is a creation of the Old Gods. It is *NOT* covering the ENTIRE Emerald Dream. It's a ripple in the faberic of reality (of the dream) so to speak. Like a storm cloud that moves around and screws up whatever it touches. Now my thoughts on this is that since the Old Gods are imprisioned on a different plane, it's slightly easier for them to "break free" in the Emerald Dream, being a slightly askew plane of reality (the Shadows & Light book had a nice analogy - they called it a pristine napkin covering the physical plane but without all the mess.. or something like that). Obviously the Old Gods cannot just "break into the Emerald Dream" but I think they can at least cause some mischif, more than on the physical plane (where they can still do some freaking damage.. at least psychologically). So imagine they poke a little hole in the Emerald Napkin and all that emerald goodness starts to spill out or something. So yeah, Old Gods want to take on Ysera.. probably to weaken the powers of the aspects in order to facilitate their entry into the world.

Which brings an interesting thought to mind about the presence of Nozdormu's flight in Silithus (and the whole plot of the War of the Ancients book trilogy) and other interesting little hints that maybe the Old Gods are gunning for the Aspects. The presence of "The Forgotten One" in Northrend could relate to Malygos as well. I don't know what's going on in Grim Batol right now but Alexstrazsa might want to watch her back :P

So yeah, remember I am always right except when I'm not :)

P.S. - Gee, what a surprise.. he does say there were 5 Old Gods with 2 dead which is hypothetically correct (this assuming Blizzard hasn't just been freaking stupid and making a lot of typos or changes). He did get the Master's Glaive. I'm a bit surprised he even knew that. But of course, he "doesn't know where the other one is".. I guess only the cool people like me know about the Dragon Isles (http://www.scrollsoflore.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=25&pos=7) :)

And yeah, now he is saying the Dark Iron Dwarves summoned Undead and that the Undead are related to the Old Gods because "they come from the ground". This guy is a total douche.

I had to do a reply for this one:

"Ysera was blessing the World Tree at the same time she created the Emerald Dream".

Haha, he just got corrected right after I typed that.. dumbass!

Hey Warlock could you elaborate on the Master's Glaive and the Dragon Isles. I have the Collector's Edition and I don't quite understand what the Dragon Isles are. I don't think I ever done the Master's Glaive quest since I am focussing on the Horde. Although right now I am taking a short break from the game, there I don't have a new gamecard yet.

As to what you think about the Old Gods and the Emerald Dream, I think you are right. I have read most books except the manga one. I solely buy the RPG books for lore purposes. Do you think that Staghelm has anything to do with the Twilight's Hammer clan and also with the Old Gods?

The Master's Glaive is basically the site of an ancient battle between a Titan and an Old God. The Titan drove his Glaive into the skull of the Old God and that skull remains today with the Glaive still inside it. That's really the jist of it.

I don't know too much about Dragon Isles. I believe it's supposed to be the home of the Dragon broods (as described in the War of the Ancients books). I posted that picture for you, I'm assuming that what happened was way back during the whole Titans vs. Old Gods battle the 5 Dragon Aspects fought against the Old Gods and killed one of them (and made their home on his skull). I speculate that both the Glaive and the big temple thing act as seals of some kind.. maybe to prevent some evil nasty stuff from getting out of there. I don't know, that is just a guess on my part.

Thanks for the explanation. I saw today in the new modelviewer that it is indeed called Dragon Isles. I always wondered what enviroment they were displaying in the Collector's edition was, since it isn't explained in the book.

So THAT'S what the WCRadio lore shows are like... I'm glad I don't listen to them.
Next time there's a lore show, go in the IRC chat and just show him that he's wrong all the time. :3 Then, maybe someone who knows what they're doing can do their lore show.

Hopefully, we can trust them for their BlizzCon coverage.
