[Kastrien]

I am Kastrien and I happened to stumble upon the Scrolls of Lore Forums while searching for Warcraft lore on Google. I found that your forums are very amusing and I find them very interesting, and I'd like to learn a lot more about them. I am also very impressed by the dedication put toward the site! There are so many neat icons and things like that that make this place seem a hundred times more awesome.
If you don't mind, I'd like to become a part of the Scrolls of Lore Forums community and become a regular member, if it's ok with everyone else here of course. I feel I could be a good asset to the community here and help contribute as much of my knowledge and lore of Warcraft or anything else that goes on around here.
If you have any questions about me or anything, feel free to ask. I'm usually available at all times.

Wow! I didn't realize that theres like all of the original Warcraft 1 and 2 units and even some of the Warcraft 3 and WoW units on the smilies list! Awesome!

The funny thing is, I believe I stumbled upon the forums when I searched "Tuskarr" in Google. It brought me to one of your posts and I found it extremely interesting. lol

I'm fascinated with all the different assortion of lore and knowledge here.

I think I searched "elf" in google images for it once. It's originally a much larger picture. I just downsized it.

Hey, welcome!

I'm kinda new here myself, but it's a great place to talk about Warcraft Lore and, as ScytheRexx was saying, argue Horde/Alliance ethics. Judging by your apparent love of elves, we'll probably be on opposite sides of the argument, but that's not really a problem.

Anyway, probably all you need to know about me is that I'm tend to find myself arguing against the majority opinion. I'm a huge fan of the lore, I'm also very pro-WoW (which seems to be a rarity), and I prefer the Horde. But I actually like that; it means I have a lot of people, the overwhelming majority of whom are quite intelligent, with whom to debate. I'm sure you'll get on just fine.

Well, I guess that would have to be Danath. You see, me and my friend always had this joke about Danath, since Warcraft II. In the story he went into the Dark Portal with the rest of the Alliance heroes, but it never really seemed to tell if they survived or not, but we'd always say that Danath was alive for fun, that he isn't actually dead. Nothing was mentioned about him in Warcraft III, So it kind of worried us, that we'd never really hear from him again, But we kept saying he was still alive. But then WoW came out and one of the first sites you see is statues of all the heroes at the entrance to Stormwind. Since it seemed that they were presumed dead, our hopes for seeing Danath again were brought down, but we still continued to think that he had to be out there some where. I mean really, Danath can't die, lol. That's just nonsense. Then we found out that in the expansion, Burning Crusade, that Danath, as well as the rest of the "Beyond the Dark Portal" heroes were actually alive! We thought this was extremely funny and was in no way possible. We always knew that somehow, he was indeed alive.
So basically, yeah, it's Danath. No question about it. My first objective to do when I finally get my Burning Crusade Collectors Edition (yes, I bought the collectors edition), is to, well, first off, I'll be logged out in front of the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands and after installing it, the first thing I'm going to do is: Make my way to Hellfire Peninsula (the first area once entering the Dark Portal) and then making my way to Honor Hold, which is the Alliance encampment where Danath resides. I will go to the end with Danath!
This brings me to another note, which I will get to in a second...

I would have to say, since having such a strong background with Warcraft II, I believe that my favorite elf would probably be the High Elves from the Second War. It was a shame that they kind of killed them off in the Reign of Chaos, but only a few remain. Now there are Blood Elves, but I still like the old school High Elves. That's what I see my character "Kastrien" as. I think Night Elves are cool too, but I just think since having a stronger background with the old elves, I like them more. At least I'll be able to see a lot more of the Blood Elves in BC, Although, I roll Alliance, so it probably won't be so easy.
Yes, it is a shame that the Lore doesn't contain more types of elves such as the Dark Elves and things like that, but I think that I like it where it stands on Elves.

Continuing my point a minute ago, I was saying, though I do roll Alliance, I don't believe my views are really one sided, because I really like Horde as well, The sever I play on only allows one side, otherwise, I'd play both, because I'd really like a chance to play as a Blood Elf. I guess I'll just have to play on another server for Horde. I believe that its more about the Lore, rather than how I play in the game, but those are just my views.

Anyways, just for some reference, these are just some of my other short views and thoughts.

I play Alliance on Azgalor.

I really like the concept of Alliance and Horde working together to fight or just compromising. Especially the scenes at the end of Reign of Chaos, the Battle of Mount Hyjal. Another concept like this is seen in War of the Ancients, where the ancient Tauren had to team up with Night Elves and Earthen to fight against the Burning Legion. Their reputation with the Sentinals thereafter has been slightly good, as it doesn't seem they would be mortal enemies.

I also like the different varieties of Humanoids used in the Lore. Especially the more unusual ones. I happened to come across this page that shows information about them. You guys may have already seen or posted this somewhere, but if not, this is it http://www.wowwiki.com/Rumored_Races
It tells about possible Horde/Alliance races. It's very interesting.

There are many more things, just couldn't really think of any more at the moment.

I was just kidding with you. I don't have any problems with the alliance, I just usually find myself arguing in favor of the Horde around here. Ever since Reign of Chaos, orcs have been far and away my favorite race.

LOL, I have an alliance character on Azgalor. Its been a while since I played him, but sure enough thats where I started to play since launch. Good Ol Azgalor.... I left my 60 pally on there, and came back 2 years later to find that he was demoted to level 59. How this happened, ill never know....his name was Lerric.

I still have him.... or I should.....Ill have to check tonight. I started my own guild on Azgalor a long time ago. Like I said, I played on that server since the game launched a few years ago. I got him to 60, came into some guild drama and left for scilla. I came back a year or so later and he was mysterously back to lvl 59. If I was a betting man, and I am, id bet hes still on there. Naked and poor, but still there.
