As for the non-smartass answer get SSBB. While I do love the MGS they are also rather... oh hell, non-replayable?

Gawd I hate those games! Play it once and then let it gather dust...
Just like Knights of the Old Republic 2 which was unfinished anwyway.
No replayability = no fun!

Ehhh I enjoy going through KOTOR 2 again sometimes if just to see how awesome my newest Jedi Deathgod ends up.

Plus Silver lightsabers are bitchin'.

Ya' I played it through three times myself; double bladed silver lightsaber... of doom!
Yet it would have been nicer if they finished it AND made it so that you can fool around and not finish the story for awhile. Some explorable areas that don't involve story only so to speak. Stuff to kill. PWPEWPEWPEPW1

Well as you did say, it was unfinished.

Lousy missing HK facility.

I've been playing SSBM again and again for 2 years now. You think the best multiplayer game on the GameCube isn't re-playable?

SSBB > MGS4

Also the Wii has Twilight Princess (the Wii version is better than the GC version, but only by a bit, so if you haven't already got it for the GC...), Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 as well. The PS3 has... um... Ratchet and Clank? 99% of PS3 exclusives will end up on the Xbox 360 eventually anyway... (the 1% is games made by Sony/companies Sony owns).

Well......that demo of Metal Gear Solid 4 was awesome in almost every way, the AI was terrible though.

Nintendo said nothing about online Multiplayer so far which is not a good thing.

I personally think Wii has a lot more going for it than PS3. At the very least, PS3 has done so absolutely poor sales-wise compared to Wii that developers are now scared to touch it. You're better off with a Wii and Xbox 360 - you'll get 99% of all the good games that way.

Wii: Super Mario Galaxy, SSB:Brawl, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, future Zelda games
PS3: MGS4, Tekken6, Soul Calibur 4, and Res5 caught my eye
360: Sadly.. only Halo3

Iono but I'm gearing more towards Wii unless Sony would like to drop the price for the PS3 again, which could be a possibility this winter :D

360 has Too Human coming, which is made by the same guys who did Eternal Darkness on GameCube. It looks like it's going to be bad-ass. Basically a sci-fi take on Norse Mythology.

Only MGS and Tekken are still exclusive on that list. Soul Calibur 4 and Resident Evil 5 are going multiplatform (PS3 and X360), so they don't really count as games that make the PS3 more desirable.

assassin's creed is coming for ps3 and xbox 360
gta 4 for ps3 and 360
tekken 6 for ps3

i'm going to buy a ps3 because I prefer playstation's over the xbox

although it saddens me that i am probably never going to buy a WII which has some awesome games 2 like super smash, mario soccer and mario galaxy

He was talking about the MGS series. Not SSB.

MGS4 will go cross-platform with bonuses eventually.

Yeah I know they are cross-platform now its just I'd rather get it for that console.. Playing any fighting game is way smoother on the PS3 for me even on the offset that a 3rd person action-adventure is gonna play smoother on the 360 just because of how the controller is presented. Those are just my preferences.

Oh and here is another updated list of my needs >_<

Wii:SSB Series, Mario Series, Metroid Series, LoZelda Series

PS3: DMC Series, MGS Series, RE5(PS3), SC4(PS3), Tekken Series, Assassin's Creed.. I'm forgetting something..

360: Halo3... ugh.. hmm

There added Series to the 2 PS3 titles.. even if the entire MGS series has been PS exclusive

Keep in mind you list SERIESES for the Wii, but only specific games for the PS3.

Well you need to be more specific then. You just popped up a list, which to me, means you think those games are what will sell the system. Since RE5 and SC4 are multi-platform, even if you have a preference for them you can not mark them as games that give the PS3 an advantage over the X360, as they don't due to the cross-platform nature of it. The only game that has an advantage while multi-platform is the X360 and GTA4, since they bought the exclusive rights to distribute downloadable content for the game, meaning upgrades to the game for X360 owners but not PS3 owners.

I mean, you just mentioned Devil May Cry and Assassin's Creed as PS3 games, they are ALSO cross-platform games that are going to be on the X360. DMC was announced to make the move to multi-platform ages ago.

Mention you have a preference, that is fine, we all do, but don't act like the X360 only has "Halo 3... ugu... hmmm." like its a bad thing, and mention FOUR games for the PS3 that the X360 is also getting.

I only make mention of exclusives for this generation when making a list of the "must have" games that promote a certain system, like this...

X360: Halo 3, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, etc...

PS3: Tekken 6, MGS, Lair, Heavenly Sword, etc..

Wii: Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Pokemon Series, Zelda Series.

Using other games as examples of why a certain system is great then those examples are on other systems is silly. Soon you won't even be able to use the old games as an example for the PS3, since the system is losing its emotion chip in the next batch of units.

All the systems have potential, but please if you are going to mention a game, please don't make it out like that game is going to promote such and such system when its mutli-platform, preference or no its misleading.

In terms of exclusives, Wii'll probably get the most. Even though quite a few games wont come out for the Wii, the majority of those that wont will be multi-platform across X360/PS3/PC. The PS3 will probably get the least, because it's just not feasible to make an exclusive for the PS3 because there's such a small user base. Nintendo has guaranteed exclusives. Microsoft doesn't have as much as Nintendo, but it at least has Halo, which will sell some systems (since it only comes out, like 3 years away on the PC).

The PS3 is kind of going the way of the GameCube: the only problem is, the PS3 doesn't have any First Party killer apps. Nintendo did, that's why the GameCube survived. Although Sony has Insomniac's games, they aren't really killer apps, and then EyeToy and Singstar, but those are too casual to sell well on the hardcore-oriented PS3 (and if you've played one EyeToy you've played them all, and I hardly call SingStar a killer app).

In short, Sony needs to make it's own killer app. Insomniac will probably make it, since while Sony itself is a good developer, I doubt it would make an absolutely great game.

If Sony didn't stupidly discontinue the 60 gb model after dropping the price by $100, maybe they'd get a user base. But it's dumbass decisions like that which cause them to lose customer and developer confidence.

BTW, Xbox 360 does have a decent number of exclusives. Three good ones off the top of my head: Gears of War, Crackdown, and Dead Rising. I own Crackdown, and it's pretty bad-ass. It's like GTA with superpowers. The only bad part is that the overall design was not smart - it's basically setup for only one player, one save game on a system, and once you beat the game you basically have to reset it (though you get to kill your skillups and stuff) to fight anything again. So that's a downside, especially the one save game (as my little brother likes to play it - I basically have to let him play my guy). But it's an awesome game otherwise.

And like I said, Too Human looks awesome. Go check out some videos of it. It almost looks like a cross between Diablo gameplay and a StarCraft-esce theme. Plus it's being designed as a trilogy which will allow you to carry over your character from game to game (they said there will be a level cap, so each game will raise that). So really, that's three exclusives :P

Also, as Scythe mentioned, most PS3 games are cross platform, sometimes with better features like GTA's downloadable content. Another one, though more minor, I've heard that Assassin's Creed uses rumble as a gameplay mechanic for finding footholds when climbing, and supposively the 360 version has superior AI due to the fact it has multithreading (don't ask me why the PS3 can't achieve the same thing, but I suspect it was too much of a pain in the ass that they didn't bother trying).

So yeah, don't count the 360 out. Honestly a year ago I felt exactly the opposite. 360 came out and there was nothing there I wanted to play. But I was really looking forward to PS3, if only for Final Fantasy. Now.. well the only thing on there I want *IS* Final Fantasy and the price is too rediculous for just that. Every PS3 list I've seen posted consists of games I could care less about - maybe with an exception to Heavenly Sword which looks decent. But again, not $600 decent ;p

You can't really compare MGS4 and SSBB. The only thing in common is Snake, and that doesn't really count... Anyway!

So I say both is going to be good, and I'm going to get both of 'em.

And by the way, I look forward to the new Wii Footcontroller-thingamojo, which name escapes me.
