Secondly she must realize that she is to blame for her damnation, and that, valkyr or no, sooner or latter she will die, unless she attains true immortality or godhood. Since she is realistic, she will realize that the only real way of avoiding hell is to be a better person, though given her current mental state she will need a push of some sorts to get her going, quite possibly from one of her sisters. 1-It's still not what people want to see, including Sylvanas herself when she was alive.

2-Actually, I think if they want to change, they can change from committing crime publicly to stay behind and manipulate others. Such as use their banshee to possess some important figures other factions and use them to create conflicts, even start wars to weaken these factions and secretly raise corpse to empower themselves.

Personally, I do not feel she can be redeemed. But that's not the point of the thread.

I do not know how she can be redeemed, but we must first establish a few things.... or one thing.

First, one has to acknowledge their problem in order to fix it. In this case, Sylvanas has to realize that she's going too far.

I doubt anyone wants to see her visited by the ghosts of Winter's Veil past, present, and future - she'd just enslave them anyways - so we'd have to find something else that would make that shriveled black heart of hers grow ten sizes.

The most obvious way will be through her sisters.

Unfortunately, the best times for Sylvanas to speak with Vereesa seem to have passed. During Wrath, Dalaran was the center, figuratively and geographically, of the Horde and Alliance's efforts against the Lich King, so it would make sense that they would both be there.The next best time was during the assault on Zul'Aman in 4.2, since Sylvanas still has some desire to see her homeland secure, and so may have gone there too and met Vereesa.

Now, perhaps a simple talk between sisters may lead to some progress. Or, perhaps more drastically, a battle may be necessary.

Perhaps Vereesa and Sylvanas meet somewhere private. Through their talks, and Sylvanas's previous actions, Vereesa believes that Sylvanas cannot be redeemed, and so must die. Perhaps just a battle would do it, or perhaps Sylvanas ends up killing her and for the first time feels the sad type of regret (the angry type would have been felt from Varimathras's betrayal)

Or, perhaps Vereesa fights against Forsaken forces and ends up dead in a manner that leaves her corpse intact, and thus forces Sylvanas to realize she's made the Forsaken far too ruthless.

I don't know how it would go from there, but... well. Sylvanas has little to apologize to the Horde to. She's gotten results remarkably well, and only a small, small minority in the Horde even care that she's busted open child skulls in the process. Her main issue is to get the Horde to trust them, so perhaps tossing out certain tactics and weapons may be a start, but ultimately her (perceived) ambition will always be seen as a threat to the rest of the Horde. Though, certainly, she does have to apologize to that poor tauren poisoned in vanilla, but... that's about it.

At most, the only ones in the Alliance who might not completely dismiss Sylvanas's attempt at redemption are high elves that were close to Silvermoon. Unfortunately, it's more because they believed the real Sylvanas died defending Quel'thalas, and the one walking around is a twisted mockery that is using her body. Then again, it's not like the Alliance matters much in general, much less a particular situation like this.

At most Sylvanas may tone down the human torture to only be related to "necessary" scientific pursuits, and she might create sustainable human farms with birthing quotas in order to stave off punishment torture. And of course invoking Stockholme Syndrome is a must.

Unfortunately I don't really know the Silverpine quests all too well, but just how many divisions did Sylvanas herself lead? Or how many did she say "go over there, even if you think that's an ambush" to? Lincoln wasn't personally responsible for troop losses, though he did have the responsibility to his troops to appoint competent generals.

Vrykul were allied with the Scourge, so it's like saying that attacking England instead of France if one is at war with NATO is not helping. And the Scarlet Crusaders were getting in the way either way - even the Argents, Ebon Blade, and to a lesser extent the Alliance - agreed. Of course, they could probably should have shown things better, but...

Either way, she still has most of the Lordaeron subcontinent secured, with only a few pesky things like the Scarlet Monastery, the Gilnean-related forces, the Stormpike, and Wildhammer holding out. Heck, if Arathi was updated properly, chances are the zone would have had a Forsaken/Horde victory by the end of questing anyways.

And she has an instant Alliance-loyalty removal in the form of the (admittedly numerically limited) val'kyr. The general rejection toward them from people like Garrosh is more on the lines of a lack of honor, or a general "being undead is really damn horrible", not a specific sympathy to the humans so turned. Except maybe Drek'thar.

But Southshore had children. The children probably fled with the refugees either eastward toward Arathi and got slaughtered, as stated in the Battle for Hillsbrad (http://www.wowhead.com/item=63249). Or they fled north to Fenris Keep, at which point they... got slaughtered and perhaps revived, or became worgen and... were killed in the final battle in Silverpine questing. Though maybe the latter were lucky enough to make it into Gilneas before the fighting began.

IIRC it was said that the Forsaken used to kidnap Scourge ghouls and give them an alchemical tonic which would allow them to have a fighting chance at breaking the LKs will. Hence the first guy to greet you is surprised you pulled trough, since you've been out so long they were just about to call you a wasted cause and burn you.

Why add a romantic dimension to characters who did not have it? A character in a narrative sense is a carefully constructed and calculated package. If he, she or it includes no romantic or sexual endeavors adding them (or modifying them) just serves to weigh the character down.

He was a tactical genius, plus as a human, he knew the Alliance better than Koltira or even Sylvanas herself. His character development is also pretty nice. It's a big waste to just throw him in UC.

Blightcaller was a badass. You couldn't solo him at level 70. We held a guild contest to see if anyone could do it.

If anything, they should have left him out there, and just buffed him.

They've put too many eggs into their faction leader's story and not enough into a supporting cast like the Humans, Orc, and even Night Elves have. Majority of the Forsaken storyline from here out will probably be about Sylvanas going further down her dark path. I just don't think we will see much of Blightcaller since the focus isn't really there.
