WAIT A F***ING MINUTE!

did I read that dwarf´s name right...

Thargas Anvilmar!!!

The same family that once ruled over the 3 dwarven clans? can this dwarf be the heir of the Anvilmar legacy?

That guy looks nothing like the king of Stormwind.

Dire Maul was one of the cities (perhaps capital, i could be wrong) of the highborne Kaldorei, and few of them still live there. There is a Huge Gladiator ring in the middle of the area and thats why their going there, West Wing is controlled by the Highborne Kaldorei, North by the Gordok Ogres (powerful ogres!!!! :P ) and East by Satyrs, Corrupted Ancient tree creatures and so on.

Should I be worried about this?
Simonson pored over the novels and the manga comics, and he and his wife Louise conducted extensive research on the web (on comprehensive sites such as WoWWiki).

Even WE use WoWWiki. Everyone does.

I don't think WoWWiki is any bad site. :| But sure they should ask Blizzard rather then a fan-based site i guess, heh. :P

You shouldn't trust everything there however.

Unless they had the skill to see the obviously stupid parts, we're screwed.

WoWwiki invasion incoming! Grab your weapons!

Why don't they just give them a friggin transcript of Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne?

Jeez.

Hmm, I might DOWNLOAD it, but I probably won't buy it.

And why the crap is it so hard for the ones designing Warcraft related material to take create an armour that isn't from WoW? I want to see something new, not Lawbringer AGAIN!

Because WoW is all that matters now.

In defense of WoWWiki, nearly every Warcraft source is somewhat inconsistent these days. If the comic book team used the RPG series, we'd have reason to worry. If they used the Warcraft I, II, and III game manuals, we'd have reason to worry. If they used the WoW website, we'd have reason to worry. If they used WoW, we'd have reason to worry. Yes, WoWWiki could be better and I sincerely hope none of the errors and biases that sometimes appear in articles influence the comic storyline negatively, but WoWWiki's problems are a reflection of a larger problem with the Warcraft franchise. If official Blizzard products aren't consistent with each other, how can we expect fan products to be?

WoWWiki's problems are a result of either people taking every little nuance as gospel (i.e. Blizzard makes a custom map, suddenly it's canon) or people just not knowing things and making them up because of that.

I *think* it will be ok though. Most of WoWWiki is at least accurate, and this is being checked by Blizzard. So *hopefully* Blizzard could catch any stupidity that might potentially creep in.

Metzen needs to release a Warcraft bible. Wowwiki is useful with game stuff raid strategies and many sources of lore. But fanon often creeps in like the belief that Draenei don't have fangs.

A warCraft bible would just get retconned in 12 seconds.

When you're making a continuing storyline, you can't always be consistent.

Blizzard takes this liberty far too lightly, but to a degree it IS true.

you CAN be consistant with the past. What has happened SHOULD have happened. There is no damn reason WHY they need to change events that have already happened. What? Are they too stupid to make the story fit with the past instead of retconning the past to fit with every "cool" idea they get? Next thing you know Gul'dan could end up being the Lich King instead of Ner'zhul in ten years.

Sure you can. Its just Blizzard uses the excuse that gameplay is greater than story, which really means that its just too much effort to ensure continuity. Its all about the bottom line.

I thought that in terms of enjoying the franchise around here, that was like the main pillar of our forum.
