They keep getting worse and worse. x_x
It's getting to the point where this is the only WC site involving lore I can go to without pulling out my hair in frustration. =|

(As a side note, after seeing the Chronicles of Narnia, my friends and I thought about the coolness of a duel-wielding Centaur. BUTT KICKING FOR GOODNESS!)
Centuars seem so good after seeing Narnia.

Wow, almost that entire Worgen entry was wrong or made up. Haha.. Ur summoning Worgen. Did he READ the book? And then he goes on to state that there is some elite group of Worgen in Gilneas named the Nightcry. Where the heck do they come up with this crap?
I am tempted to update my page with a big huge giant-font message saying "THERE IS NO LAW IN CHINA FORBIDDING THE DEPICTION OF PANDAS BEING KILLED". I am almost positive Pandaren will not be the Alliance race, but damn I am sick of hearing that rumor.

The moment he stated that Pandaren were tall and hulking like Tauren was when I knew this author is simply collecting every rumor on the internet and putting them in one single place. The entire essay is just one giant rumor mill, and if it's been linked to the WoW forums, I'd say we have little hope of trying to stem the tide of "Worgen FTW" comments.

Um yeah....someone should tell him pandaren are around 5' and climb and are agile as elves.....

Nightcray is a band of the Duskwood Worgen I think.

Yeah, I do believe so. Besides, Metzen admitted to forgetting about Gilneas. ;)

Heh, you'd think with all that lore they'd keep it in a tome or something. I'd always write down every little detail to avoid forgetting things if I were to make an epic storyline.

Or create an account on a random lore board with people that follow it. >_>

That’s bullshit. He didn’t forget about anything he just didn’t want rumors popping up so he diverted all the questions by having someone say he forgot about it. So no one would ask him crap about it. Seems rather odd if they forgot it then why is there even a gate there at all shouldn’t just be mountains he "Truly forgot it", and Brann writes about it when he tries to fly over Gilneas, in the RPG books.
Seems rather unlikely when everyone always asking what is Gilneas up to. That a game writer like Metzen would forget one of the greatest mysteries and plots in the Warcraft universe. I have a little more respect for him.

Given the size of the WC universe and how much detail is there, such a compendium would be massive. Also, it seems evident that Blizzard doesn't want to be bound by any sort of "dogmatic" canon. The story is shaped to fit gameplay needs, and if that means dropping/altering untold amounts of detail, then so be it. That is the Blizzard way.

He didn't completely forget about it of course, but I'm sure it's not the immediate thing on his mind. There are more pressing matters right now lore-wise (namely all the new Burning Crusade content he needs to think up - heck, coming up with lore for the new creatures mentioned in the trailer alone is a lot). I'm sure what he meant was that they havn't decided yet what they want to do with it (hence "forgetting about it").
And Metzen didn't write Lands of Conflict. He was consulted of course, but that had to have been like a year ago.

Hey that makes my theory of Blizz replacing Metzen with a robot all the more truthful.

You know how I said we'd be screwed if this ever really got out to the public...well it just did. Not only has this person royally screwed up so much lore, they've actually found a way to make the race horribly imbalanced (in terms of game play) as well.
If you want the really horrible lore, scroll down to the class suggestions. *shivers
