Another War Room, or Sovereign of Ludditia, as you wish call it, was great. Really.

Long before it finished, I started making my own version, with rules. Tons of rules. I'm trying to make it as easy as possible, so the game doesn't stop with the absence of players or the Game Master.

Of course, it's still in process, and I'll probably wait for the results of Timolas' version.

I'm going to base it around the 2nd War, involving the events of Tides of Darkness, Beyond the Dark Portal and Day of the Dragon. The factions, right now, are only 12, 6 per side.

My main idea is:
Alliance: Lordaeron, Dalaran, Stromgarde, Kul'Tiras, Gilneas, Alterac.
Horde: Blackrock, Stormreaver, Black Tooth Grin, Shadowmoon, Ogres, Trolls.

And merge the remaining factions with those in a balanced way.

Anyway, I would like you to post here all the suggestions you have for games like this. It would help me improve, and could help Tim with his ongoing game, too.

Also, if you would like to play, you can post 3 factions in order of preferences (1>2>3) and give all the lore suggestions you want, like troops, style of the army, heroes commanding it, and more.

I'm very satisfied with my current results, and I think I could post something consistent soon, so you can opine about the rules and the gameplay.

No Ironforge or Quel'thalas?

And merge the remaining factions with those in a balanced way.

Horde is still undecided, I don't know where to put the Warsongs, but Alliance could be something like this:

-Lordaeron + Stormwind
-Dalaran + Gnomeregan
-Stromgarde + Ironforge
-Gilneas + Quel'Thalas
-Kul'Tiras + Wildhammer clan
-Alterac + "some betrayer guys, that could be Dark Irons or just pirates"

The main objective at creating the faction is that you must be able to play the game historically and get the same results as the official version.

So, Gul'dan can't be in the same team as Orgrim, cause, that way, Gul'dan wouldn't be able to betray Orgrim.

Gotcha?

If you have other ideas for the faction combinations, just post them.

As you know I detest the idea of merging unrelated factions. I can't imagine how Gilneas and Quel'Thalas match, nor how Alterac and Dark Irons could fight in the same army in that time period.

It's just a way of distributing everything.

If we don't have enough players to control them all, it's better than leaving them neutral or controlled by the GM.

Also, I want there to be as most players as possible, so I don't put all the heroes of BtDP under the same player, so as many players as possible can play that part of the history.

So the one that plays as Lordaeron just has to suck until eventually the Blackrock player loses on purpose?

Something... like that xDDD.

Nope, I mean, everything that happened in the canonical version should be able to be done in the game.

If you have 2 guys that fought each other in the same team, then, that part of the history can't be played.

Well, yes it can, but only dumbs attack their own troops.
