This is from Alpha.. not Beta..

This is taken from my cellphone, and blown up.

The reason I didn't get a pic of the actual Draenei model, etc is well.. because there is none. Currently there is just a small checkered box. All classes however were available besides paladin and druid.. oh, and the starting background was the orc's.

Well ... it is draenei , but that icon pic is from war3x. And that male pic is the most famous male pic of BE startup screen put out on the web. So this is all fishy fishy!

I don't know if I should say where I got the pic .. however that icon is definetly not the same from the only 2 other available icons of Draenei (the ones from war3) I know, because I commented on this and I just got the answer "yeah..."





Oh, and about the Blood Elf model, it was like a week before they patched the Alpha with other model updates and animations, class changes, and all that. don't think model was going to be added though. Trust me, I asked a BUNCH of questions. I managed to snag this pic however.

also, it looks like the BE isnt even with the rest of the picture.

also, learn to read.. this was an alpha picture. almost 1 week before they updated the alpha version to the newer.

If it's a new fake, it's a pretty good one. The available classes match with what Tigole mentioned a few weeks ago (http://blue.cardplace.com/cache/wow-general/7581159.htm).

Still, you gotta have more than a blurry image that doesn't even show a Draenei model to convince people that this is real.

Why post it here? Where else have you posted this shot? I keep an eye on most of the popular sites and they dont have anything new about this. Im not saying its fake, I actually think its real, im just curious to the who what when where and whys of this one :D

Well, to be honest my only WoW account is banned from the forums for posting early Blood Elf shots. So 1. I can't post there even if I want to. 2. The post would get deleted so fast and also end in a ban.

I'm also not a member to much WoW fan sites, except this one.. because it revolves around lore and well it's the only thing I'm interested in besides my realm politics. The only other forums I ever browse are my realm forums and guild forums.


Edit: This is the first forum I've ever actually posted the picture on..

I however did show like all my friends that play WoW with me (real life friends) and I am almost positive one of them posted it on General WoW forums and he ended up getting perma banned just like me for advertising. =P

Anyway, what's that robe the blood elf is wearing? Looks really nice and I can't remember seeing that model anywhere in the game. I really doubt Blizzard would give a level 1 character such a nice robe though - which is all the more proof that the image must be a fake.
Does anyone know a robe that looks like this in the game? The Robe of Power looks a bit like that but not quite.

im quite sure toons on the character select/creation screen dont have shadows covering them.

How do we not its not just the starting gear for the BE mage. I mean the human pallys start with a "Squires shirt." Thats not a good arguement... Im not sayings its a 100% sure thing, It just caught me off guard at first and Im not one that normally "jumps the gun." It just took me as being a real picture.

I think it will be Draenei too, but that doesn't make the picture any less fake :P And I've seen a much more believable fake of a Murloc Warrior (now that one was freaking awesome).

Well, Syroco explained in his second post why it was the old model so he didn't really try to hide that fact. Of course his explanation is pretty much bullshit since at least part of the new models were available at Blizzcon, right? So it makes no sense that Draenei would already be selectable in this "alpha version" but blood elves still had their old model.

If it was before Blizzcon it wouldn't have had Rogue and Hunter classes yet as neither were decided until after -_-

Not to mention, there is no reason Blizzard would have added Blood Elves until there was something *to* add. Why use the old models as placeholders? To test their racial abilities? It's just kind of pointless when you've got 8 other races already designed to test out any other content (i.e. want to test Sunstrider Isle but don't have Blood Elves? Put a Night Elf there or something! NPCs are an exception as you can test out quests and stuff, but still.. this isn't an NPC). There is nothing special about Blood Elves (from a gameplay standpoint) other than their racial abilities and appearance.

so, yousee, the shadding that is on the select screen is a very very very thing edge. that BE shot you showed has about its entire right side (your left) shaded.
