Some would argue the MMORPG since it sets the standard.
Some would say the MMORPG and the RTS are the benchmarks.
Some would argue the novels and comics are usually sources of canon.
Some would say the RPG should be included.
But I argue that everything is a source of canon, with rare exceptions.
They are all official Blizzard products, with many being sold on the Blizzard store site still today. Blizzard and/or Metzen signed off on them and even wrote letters in many products mentioning how the said venture was fun and great.
Except for a quote here and there, an outdated encyclopedia, and so on, there has not been any official stance on the sources of canon in the Warcraft universe like other franchises — who have done things like an Expanded universe or tiers of canonocity.
In case someone does not know what a term means they are:
MMORPG = WoW and its expansions
RTS = Warcraft I, II, III
WoWRPG = World of Warcraft The Roleplaying Game
WRPG = Warcraft The Roleplaying Game
other products = World of Warcraft Trading Card Game, World of Warcraft The Adventure Game, World of Warcraft The Board Game, Warcraft The Board Game, World of Warcraft Miniatures Game, World of Warcraft Action Figures, etc.
Appendix III = A part of Manual of Monsters
non-commercial data = Alpha version, Beta version, etc.
secret mission = secret levels and the like in the games
crossover material = pets and units in the games from the other Blizzard franchises
