Need 40 pieces scattered in Naxx, plus the Head from Kel and the Base from somewhere in AQ. How Fun!

Doesn't sound any worse than Thunderfury really. Though the stuff you have to kill is certainly harder (but I'd expect the staff is equally better).
So is this Medivh's staff or Aegwynn's?

It really looks like Medivh's staff, but how could it have been in Dalaran at the time it was destroyed when we saw Medivh carrying it around when he was in Kalimdor in wc3?

Have a picture? I know there was one floating around but I can't find it now.

Definately the same as:
http://www.sonsofthestorm.com/warcraft_samwise038c.html#gallery
But the real question is: Was the Medihv we saw in WC3 a corporeal medihv? He could have been a spirit, which would explain why he has the staff there.
But IMO he looked pretty "fleshy".

I thought it was quite obvious when it stood that Sargeras corruption must be cleansed from the staff before it can beused ;P

Ever Heard of sarcasm, kid?
Anyway, Will we be able to see Sargeras' soul before destroying it? The model viewer says no, my hopes say yes, place your bets here.

If Sargeras still corrupted the staff then why would Medivh be carrying it around in War3?

You don´t raid very often, do you Warlock?
This will take ALOT of time to be created, the key word is alot here.
Thunderfury will not be worth to make when the expasion comes and this taff will probably suffer the same fate.

Do you? Thunderfury is a pain in the ass. You are lucky to see one set of bindings every 5 months. I think you read too much into the "40 pieces" part. You don't even know what the droprate of those are. Not to mention, the droprate of Elementium for Thunderfury is pretty lousy (not horrible, but it comes in spurts so you might not see any for weeks then get three on the same raid) and it takes a bunch.

I think Stormscale has around five Thunderfuries per side. Aren't we record breaking bastards!

Enough to know the waste of time it takes for an entire guild to make at least two Thunderfury´s and believe me when i say that the elementium ores is the least of your worries when making one... :sweatdrop
I only enjoyed killing Thunderaan, too easy for a greater Elemental though.
I think it´s retarded the stuff you need and the drops rate of certain reagents to make these weapons, by the time BC comes out, no one will even consider making them.

This is what is to become of Sargeras? :sweatdrop Also I wonder if the dudes who put this in game neglected to see Medivh carrying around this thing during the Third War? Aegwynn brought him back to life, so he wasn't a spirit.

mght not be the same staff. after Agewynn brought him back, he may have made a new plain old staff that looked like his old oone for nestalgia sake.

I just hope that they don't make another "kill a weakened god to get phat lewtz" sort of story, because I'm gonna be pissed of if I hear some lorenoob say he killed Sargeras along with 39 friends :sweatdrop

What exactly is involved in creating Thunderfury? Anyone? I was told that Elementium was something that was crafted. I havent raided BWL yet, I have one MC but thats about it. I heard that in order to make Elementium you had to mind control a goblin in BWL to learn to smelt it. Can anyone clairify this for me? What are the specifics for making Thunderfury?

Thats one thing WoWwiki is good for.
They show instance and legendary info, as their lore selection isnt much -.-

OMG!
So, the staff of the Guardian was not just a powerful staff, it was a staff literaly with a mind of it's own. An evil mind given to it by the dark Titan Sargeras, creator and lord of the Burning Legion. After Medivh's defeat in the Second War, the mages found the staff and took it to Dalaran. The staff was destroyed by it's containment spell when Archimonde obliterated the Kirin Tor, and it's fragments scattered to the far corners of the earth. How could anyone hope to posess it again? Read on.....
Also, why does Kel'Thuzad wants it if everyone that comes in contact with it dies? x_X
Well, he is already dead... But anyways :@

Then the info is either fake, or its just another stupid mistake. Or else Medivh died twice because he felt like. >_>. Yeah.

At least it is clear now that it is not the same staff from RoC. It is the one he held in 'the last guardian' .

The Warlock stats suck. And the different versions of the staff just have a different color fabric drapping down from the head.
