View Full Version : What's gonna happen to our maps?

Like the title says. What will happen to all the exploration we've done in the old world? Will all maps in Kalimdor and EK be wiped clean? What about the zones that receive little to no changes (Deadwind Pass, Moonglade, etc.)?

Maybe we'll keep the old maps, but as we re-discover each changed zone the map will change to reflect it. Only problem with this is I'm sure there will be some level 80 players who never bother to rediscover all the sub-zones of lower level zones that received changes like, say, Durotar.

Old maps = Feat of Strength.

New maps = Blank.

What I meant was, when you press "M" what are you going to see when Cata releases? Specifically in a zone you had fully explored, but has recieved significant changes?

I think that the maps will reset to blank.

New maps = Blank.

This. There's even a new achievement that has you survey cataclysm damage around the world.

Having to re-discover the entire world...RELEASE THIS SHIT NOW BLIZZ!!!!!!

I'm an old school explorer, had Azshara filled in at lvl 17, and everything old world done by 50.

I was in Moonglade/Winterspring and Eastern Plaguelands in my 30's. God those Timbermaw folk are were a pain to get through.

But I sympathize. I need the expansion NOW! D:
