The issue sort of acts like it is revealing the Draenei, despite the fact we've known about them for two months now (and it talks a bit about patch 1.11 as if it's "upcoming") so I have to wonder if this story was a bit delayed.

In any case, it's an interesting read if not full of much new info. Probably the most interesting news is the name of Hellfire Citadel's end-boss (not Magtheridon as he's in a seperate raid wing - the 5man dungeon's end boss). It's actually Kargath Bladefist. They didn't go into it too much, other than saying it's an "Orc chieftain with a deadly scythe called Kargath Bladefist for a hand" (to which I have to wonder if they realize "Kargath Bladefist is not the name of a scythe-hand -_-).

Other than that, it's a decent read, though riddled with some rediculous mistakes. Just to throw you a few examples: At one point Tom Chilton says Gul'dan opened all the portals on Draenor. Then at another point it says Ner'zhul did do it, but before Gul'dan even MET Kil'jaeden or any of the events of the games (i.e. WarCraft 1) even took place -_- Another part talks about Ghostlands being a lvl 11-17 zone, then compares it to Elwynn Forest difficulty. It also continuously claims Kel'Thuzad is the boss of Karazhan. And those are just a few examples (I had to stop reading the "Draenei history" because it was so blatently wrong).

Haaa, Kargath is alive and he´s a fel orc, good to know, i hope they do him justice and they probably will.

I´ll have to say that the cover art is pretty good.

I bet they got their information from an interview with a forum MVP. =p

I have come to trust Computer Games Magazine for the mature and professional manner with which they conduct themselves, as well their strive for objectivity. The article itself was great, I enjoyed it despite the blatant and numerous lore blunders (which surprised me entirely, I expected better, but then their just human and obviously not lore junkies like us).

And I absolutely loved the cover art! I wish it was posted up on Sons of the Storm. Velen perhaps?

Wait Kargath is on Outland? That likely means not all the Shattered Hand serve Thrall, only those who made it through the Portal before Draenor was torn apart. Now I want inof on the Bleeding Hollow Clan..if Deadyeye is in fact still alive, he would have to be miiighty old.

I bet Kargath will use a normal orc look.
But red. And the scythe.

CGM sucks at lore in this article, by the way -_-

Also, how come it often is "Black Temple" instead of "Black Citadel"? O.o

I think Black Citadel was renamed Hellfire Citadel in BC. They were both in Hellfire Peninsula and Where Magtheridon is fough so that's probably it. And the Black Temple is the former Shadowmoon Hold located faar away.

The Fel orcs already have a diferent model from the regular orcs so i don´t think Kargath will be a "normal" red orc...

Kargath was on par with Hellscream you noob.

The thing is, both the Warsong and Shattered Hand Clans were on Azeroth when the Rift was closed. Ner'zhul being the cold hearted bastard he was left them on Azeroth. Kargath was even one of the orcish heroes in the Warcraft Adventures game that was never released.

It's too bad, Kargath deserved better.

I know about the Warcraft Adventures having Kargath, but i quess blizz thought: "Well, since Lord of The Clans (game) never was released, we can as well forget the Story of it."

And after that they went to buy a bigger money vault.

No, what they thought was "Hey it would be uber cool to kill this hero from WCII!"

I dont think people enjoy getting flamed for speaking their mind. Just a thought.

Anyway; yeah, a sad fate for a hero of a sort. Things like this have happened before... and will continue to happen. :sweatdrop Heroes will go down in an unglorified manner.

That wasn't a flame. It was a playful remark, hence why I said noob. If I want to flame someone I say things far worse than noob.

Okay. ;)

So - MAYBE they might give Kargath an off-hand clawlike weapon for his 'Bladefist' thing (still not as good as his real Captain Hook trait). That would at least be PARTIALLY more lore friendly... still sucks overall though even if they did.

No, he's dead :P

Here's the reasons why he's dead.

1. Kil'rogg was old by the First War, and it's been 30 years since that.

2. I don't want Kil'rogg being another lame raid boss.

I personally think Anduin Lothar would make a damn cool undead. Be even better if the Lich King allowed him a mind of his own like he does for Kel`thuzad. There would be a good chance of him being good, but I am sure LK could do a bit of corruption work. Maybe thats just me though... :P
