<A HREF="http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/">Upperdeck Entertainment</a> has officially launched its <A HREF="http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/default.aspx">World of WarCraft: Trading Card Game website</a>. Inside you will find a bunch of stuff, including some <A HREF="http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/community/photos/art_galley/default.aspx">sample art from the cards</a> and <A HREF="http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/news/artist_profiles.aspx">artist profiles</a>. You can also find some neat wallpapers <A HREF="http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/downloads/default.aspx">right here</a>.
And on a side note, you can also get a glimpse of some of the unlockable "loot cards" (cards that have a special code to unlock stuff in the WoW MMORPG) as Blizzard has begun patching them in the game and they are <A HREF="http://www.thottbot.com/test?s=upperdeck">showing up on Thottbot already</a>. Turtle Mounts ftw!
Many thanks to Smeedle for catching all this.

According to http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/news/article.aspx?aid=942 Samwise will be doing some art for the TCG. Hope it's new stuff!

Wow, Mr "I like to draw boobies" Borris Vallejo does Warcraft art. Never thought I'd see the day. I guess he was the obvious choice for illustrating the Robes of Insight: ;)

Not his best work, though, and the picture doesn't really have that Warcrafty feel to it.

Yeah I couldn't believe he was doing art on this. He usually does a lot of greek myth stuff.

Not that the art is bad or anything, but the posted image reminds me of that Warcraft mousepad. Doesn't really depict anything Warcraftish.
EDIT: I just realised that the goblins in front are orcs, so I suppose it is Warcraftish. Just not Warcrafty.

Well the outfit is directly out of WoW. And not really anything you would see outside Warcraft, sooo.. :P
But honestly, it's just a different style. I don't mind different styles as long as the art is good. The more recent WoW RPG books are a good example of "different styles I do mind" :)

Retarded looking mountain giants are always a bad thing.
