If this is posted already real sorry. Pm me the link and ill paste this there...thanks.
This year is going to be my very first convention...very excited. I am going to be looking to buy several figures and possibly statues if they have them...maybe a shirt or two. I'm not sure though what would be a safe amount of money to bring or if they might have atm machines there.
Also if i am looking to get figures if i should hunt those down first thing.
Really though i just have no idea what to expect!
Any tips/heads up appriciated...and heck. I know I'm new here but if anyone else is going feel free to throw your name out to.

Tickets were damned impossible to get, and I'm not paying a scalper. I can be in Anaheim in half a day's drive, but I'll be watching on DirecTV instead.

I hope you enjoy yourself at Blizzcon, Vahro. I attended the event last year and had a blast, and if you want tips here are a few recommendations I'd make:
1. Bring a book, portable game system, or a friend you can talk to while waiting in line. There's a good chance you'll be doing a lot of that.
2. Get your convention pass the day before Blizzcon if you can. The line will likely be huge, but if you want to experience Blizzcon from start to finish you probably don't want to wait a couple hours in line for your pass and then ANOTHER hour to get inside the building.
3. Show up early on opening day. VERY early. As in 3 to 5 hours early. I think I arrived at the Convention Center two and half hours or so before Blizzcon started, and the line still snaked around the parking lot.
4. Bring a bag or something you can carry things around in if you don't get your hands on a Blizzcon goodie bag first. It makes things easier if you plan on making purchases.
5. Know the schedule of events and pay attention for changes. Some events might be moved to a different location.
6. If you want to ask a question at a panel, get there early and get in line as quickly as you can. I was between 5 to 10 persons away from asking Chris Metzen a question during the lore panel when time ran out, but I was there early enough that if I'd known how the question-asking worked I might have had better luck (*shakes fist*). The experience served me well for the class panel, though.
7. The same goes if you simply want a good seat. Show up for the larger events early...but at the same time, remember that the larger events and panels are being broadcast and will appear online later so having a great view isn't necessarily of the utmost importance.
8. Lines at the convention center's concession stands will also be long during lunch and dinner hours so plan accordingly.
9. There was a lot of free stuff handed out from various kiosks at the previous Blizzcon and I suspect there will be again. Look around if you want free knick-knacks.
10. If there's a major event you're not interested in attending, you might want to try the game demos because the lines might be shorter.
11. If you're not afraid of walking, there are several hotels within reasonable distance of the Anaheim Convention Center that might be easier on your budget. Look around if you don't already have lodging.

Late reply but wanted to say I had a blast at the Con. Wow...what an experience. It was my very first convention of any kind and it was definatly worth every single penny.
The WoW pvp tournament was awesome to watch.
The art panel was great (I'm a artist myself) it was awesome to see them draw live.
But the best thing about all this...was meeting 22 fellow guildmates, lol! It was great to be able to put faces to the voices I've heard over 'Vent', for around 4 years. Great people...never a dull moment.
Definatly something I hope to do again next year.
Oh yeah....Me and Chris Metzen O.O I'm a giant.....if you can't tell...

One last thing...scroll to 8:40 in this video. After his speech I felt inspired to give a shout out to Grom Hellscream (my fav character in Warcraft lore) After the crowd settled down.
