A few Burning Crusade updates happened this weekend, so here's a quick recap:

WorldofWar.net has a new interview with Frank Pierce. The interview isn't ground breaking, but an interesting read. They also have a few new screenshots sprinkled in with a bunch of e3 press kit shots (so you have to sort through those). Thanks to Smeedle for the heads up.

Also, Krawall.de has a ton of new screenshots which show off Silvermoon among other things. Thanks to Vonhahn for that news.

I'll be adding these to the Image Gallery shortly. I've been periodically updating the gallery so be sure to keep checking back for new screenshots and whatnot.

It looks like they put more time into Silvermoon than all the other Horde capitals combined.

It's because they're pretty!

You would think the blood elves would have relocated silvermoon a bit, too somewere that dosent have a huge scar of undeath running through it.

A new place would be missing the lay lines which made them found the kingdom at the first place.

The thing I don't get is, when Arthas had destroyed Silvermoon, did he just revive Kel'Thuzad, take his forces and leave the place in ruins? Wouldn't he have made it into an "undead city" ? If so, how did the blood elves manage to take it back?

And what's the deal with the sun well now that it's gone dark? Shouldn't it be projecting dark magics right into Silvermoon making it into an inhabitable place?

I think they are curing it, everything can be changed to give WoW more playable races and classes.

Not only that, it gives Silvermoon a badass battle scar. Its almost an insult to Arthas " Look where still here and so isn’t our town" Like he couldn’t finish the job.

Scars like that add a lot of character and story to a city like silvermoon, makes it much more interesting.

The Scourge probably did occupy Silvermoon for a time after its fall, but its most powerful concentrations of force were focused on three regions: Northrend, Lordaeron and those who accompanied the Legion to Kalimdor. After WC3 and TFT, those left in Silvermoon were probably just a token force. Since the Scourge in Kalimdor were mostly wiped out, and those in Lordaeron were driven north by the emerging Forsaken presence, the primary power of the Scourge was once more centralized in Northrend. The Scarlet Crusade and Forest Trolls, over time, probably further isolated any undead forces remaining in Quel'Thalas from the bulk of the Scourge's remaining strongholds in the Eastern Kingdoms, making them easier for the Blood Elves to force out once they set about rebuilding their home. Hence, the lowbie zones there are likely full of weak Scourge representatives, but since the resistance there was effectively crushed in WC3, Arthas had little reason to maintain a significant presence in Quel'thalas, especially since at the time he was still working on the Burning Legions' schedule and was in a hurry to move on to Dalaran and summon Archimonde.

That´s the whole point of the Sunwell trilogy, i take it that you didn´t read it.

Some people in here (/raise hand) do not have the possibility to read those.

Read the Blood Elf Lore then on blizzard's site.
