<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tr valign="top"><td><font size="2"><A HREF="http://www.barnesandnoble.com/">Barnes & Noble.com</a> have two new covers for upcoming WarCraft books. First up, is <A HREF="http://search.barnesandnoble.com/bookSearch/isbnInquiry.asp?r=1&isbn=1416525823">The WarCraft Archive</a>. A cover for this was released before, but it was a really crappy "slapped together" one. This new cover actually features original artwork!

Secondly, we finally have cover art for <A HREF="http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?ISBN=0743471385&pdf=y&z=y">Rise of the Horde</a>! It looks fantastic too!

You can check out the art on those pages, or in our gallery by clicking the thumbnails to the right.

Update: Also somewhat related, we have some new dates for upcoming WoW RPG books. <A HREF="http://secure1.white-wolf.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=825">The Horde Player's Guide</a> has unfortunately been pushed back to November 15th. But on the plus side, we finally have a date for <A HREF="http://secure1.white-wolf.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=832">The Monster Guide</a>: January 31st, 2007! Not only that, but the book will even be in color! (which is great, because the last Monster Manual was unfortunately in black & white). So at least that is good news. Thanks to Smeedle for spotting this.</font></td><td width="150"><center><A HREF="http://www.scrollsoflore.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-7250"><IMG SRC="http://www.scrollsoflore.com/gallery/albums/books/thumb_a001_warcraftarchive_cover.jpg" border=0></a> <A HREF="http://www.scrollsoflore.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-7251"><IMG SRC="http://www.scrollsoflore.com/gallery/albums/books/thumb_08_riseofthehorde_cover.jpg" border=0></a></center></td></tr></table>

Its nice to see Hellscream on the cover in all his "I am going to kill you!" glory.

Also, I like the design of the Archive cover. It has something that represents pretty much all the books.

The Demon Soul for Day of the Dragon.

The Book of Medivh for The Last Guardian.

The Frostwolve Banner for Lord of the Clans.

A few things I find kind of interesting though...

The Demon Soul looks like a giant cookie on a chain.

The book of Medivh has a picture of a raven on it. I find this interesting, because the more and more we see Medivh the more and more Blizzard is making the raven his symbol. I used to think it was cool that he turned into a raven in WarCraft 3, but now with his book carrying the raven symbol and his new WoW "evil" outfit reminding me of a raven I think blizzard is going all out with the symbolism.

Wow, the Demon Soul is really simple looking just like it´s description in the books, it´s awesome, nice touch covering all the major symbols of each book.

And Grom is awesome, with luck we´ll see the moment were the 12 chieftains drank Mannoroth´s blood.

Also, excerpt of Ghostlands!

Oh, it's a *raven*.. it looked like a Gryphon to me which I thought was odd. That makes more sense :)

And the Demon Soul is pretty much exactly how I pictured it :)

Only thing not represented on the Archive's Cover is "Of Blood and Honor." The others look awesome though, all perfect representatives, I think.
