Sure, I'm happy to point you to some of my favorite sections.

I'm also quite proud of the sections running from "Crystalsong Forest" to "A Point of No Return", but those are probably most enjoyable once you've familiarized yourself with Destron and his personal history.

Thanks for taking a look at the travelogue!

Unfortunately, I don't think I ever wrote that much about the raptors (though I write extensively about the different troll cultures).

Indeed. It really makes me sad to read the pre-Oblivion descriptions of Cyrodiil:

"From the shore it is hard to tell what is city and what is Palace, for it all rises from the islands of the lake towards the sky in a stretch of gold. Whole neighborhoods rest on the jeweled bridges that connect the islands together. Gondolas and river-ships sail along the watery avenues of its flooded lower dwellings. Moth-priests walk by in a cloud of ancestors; House Guards hold exceptionally long daikatanas crossed at intersections, adorned with ribbons and dragon-flags; and the newly arrived Western legionnaires sweat in the humid air. "

I haven't played Oblivion. I've heard it's a good game, and I'm sure it is. But it could have been so much more.

Good to hear! House Hlaalu was the closest match to my RL sentiments, so I tend to favor it (though I do respect House Redoran).

Have you seen this YouTube playlist?

The videos take an in-depth look at the architecture and layout of the towns in Morrowind, and explain how these reflect the cultures of their builders. It shows a level of attention that very few games make.
