I'm not leaving my house today. A few friends want to go and protest in Asunción (I usually join them, but today is not a good day). I'll watch my ass.
Well, the situation over here is mixed. To be honest, I don't have major problems with Lugo. He did some good things, education and social-wise.
What I'd like is a change in the congress. Most people are there since 1992 or so (After General Stroessner dictatorship fell). They mostly work against the people. Recently there has been an issue with a proposal for unblocking the voting lists. There have been protests and all the like this last month.
Most 'rational' and young people agree it's just a distraction and this change is for the worse, because it won't fix anything and will likely spawn some civilian deaths. However, most part of the country is aligned with the republicans and liberals because they have been bought by the parties, and they both want Lugo down.
I live in a city next to the capital. 45 minutes from the center, where the congress is. I don't think I'll get affected or anything, but there have been sightings of snipers atop buildings and farmers are coming from all across the country to defend the president.
My dad is a part of the navy, though. I hope he doesn't get hurt
