Incoming poopstorm about how Blizzard is crumbling before our eyes.

Here's a fun game: See if you can find Bolvar's comment on the first page of comments.

To be fair, Blizzard has thousands of employees and most are in customer service, I think.

*Uses magic crystal to look into the future of Blizzard*
I see darkness before me.An unbearable void.Pure emptiness of total annihilation.

Don't you have a space bar on your keyboard? Does it not work between sentences?

And I believe Bolvar is Kaptainkaos.

Awesome. Enjoy your longer ticket response times.

(Disclaimer: I have no problem with this, nor do I actually think Blizzard is collapsing. Companies have to hire and fire people all the time. If they can't turn enough profit without slashing 600 poor bastards from payroll, then blame Obama. Oh yeah. I went there.)

I think Blizz is planning on expanding into other markets, so I have a feeling they may have fired some of their existing support staff so they can afford some more. I'm pretty sure they plan to expand into the Brazilian and Japanese markets and I'm not sure if they have any support for those regions yet.

$99,000,000 profit from $1,407,000,000 revenue in Q4 2011. Blizzard is really struggling.

Honestly they didn't need as much support staff for each area now days. So many things that GM's used to handle are handled by the game itself now (and Blizzard changed its polices a few weeks ago about others such as how they don't handle loot period now). And since its a worldwide cut it may be something like 200 in the US, 150 in Europe and etc. Blizzard was at 4700 employees and only 750 of those were developers. That's a LOT of support staff. It sucks for those affected but its obvious the company was getting bloated.

More are being laid off in US and EU. But yeah, actually 90%+ are GMs and customer services.
