Has anyone came across any quests that opens the lore a bit further, explains more, etc etc? Any interesting points of information? I have a 70 alliance rogue, and I chose scryer as rep. I KNOW im missing out on some good horde quests, and/or Aldor quests. Please post any that you find interesting. For example, while in Nagrand I hear Thrall come into the zone and yell something along the lines of "Finally I am in my home land!" I get so mad because I was in such a rush to get 70, I havent had time to play my other horde character. One that I found interesting was a quest that was a drop from an elite BE mob in Shadowmoon Valley. This mob was surrounded by BE pallies on their mounts, and once we killed him he drops a book. This book then starts a quest that requires you to release a Draenei High General from these crystals at Eclipse Point. Whats cool about this is that Illidan actually speaks with you through a crystal. He mentions how easily he dispatched Arthas and asks if you would too like to Challange the ruler of outland. Anyone else have any?

LAMELAMELAME! Krasus and his objects are in big with a whole bunch of quests in Kirin'var of Netherstorm. Blood Elf Demon Hunter! A full fledged one too. There's also three(four actually but the fourth on is off on his own and an ally) NE Demon Hunters. They are painful, one alone can slaughter a 70 elite Pit Lord. Easy. |

The biggest lore on the Horde side is the Mag'har, the corruption of the Orc Ancestors through Oshu'gun, etc... Pretty much all of Nagrand is a giant horde lore fun zone. One of the more insteresting things I learned involves the Naaru. The power they have within them is pretty impressive, but it seems the Naaru have a connection with the Void (AKA the dark realm the voidwalkers seem to come from). When a Naaru is injured and begins to die, his light energy slowly fades and is filled with the void. The orc ancestors are drawn to the void within the naaru and turned into dark spirits of the void, much like voidwalkers, and from what I know, when the void energy within the naaru gets at its peak, everything around it seems to die, before it finally is reborn a being of the light. I find that interesting. I like how "The Void" is getting much more fleshed out, aswell as the voidwalkers that spawn from within it. I want to learn even more about it. |

Not sure if this is covered in the latest horde novel but...
There's a Shadowmoon Valley questline involving putting down an Elemental Lord. Apparently, it was awakened and driven mad as a result of Gul'dan's efforts to sever the orcish race from their shamanic roots and from the very elements themselves. Looks like all the planets might, at the very least, have their own primordial Elemental Lords whose release from imprisonment can cause rather catastrophic consequences. Shadowmoon Valley has a pretty cool series of quests, ethough if you ask me, Blizz makes the Legion seem entirely too incompetent. Sure, it's Illidan's personal playground and he's the big baddie of the area, but the quests that involve taking out the Legion's ability to invade the region make it seem like they're a bunch of numbskulls flailing about as players sneak around foiling their plans. A far cry from the agents of chaos and destruction that you see upon first emerging from the Dark Portal. Even their individual mobs (Elites aside) are far less physically sturdy than the Illidari demons, Broken, Naga and Blood Elves. I can chop through four wrathguard-types there in the time it takes to whittle down a single Shadowmoon orc, as a protection specced warrior with abysmal DPS. |

We already knew he thought he won, but that he easily dispatched Arthas is another matter. He's really spiraling down into true insanity if he thinks he one-shotted the current Lich King.

The only intresting quest I found on the Alliance side so far is the one about Arator the redemeer, Where you basicly lead him from the tarven to speak to daneth... thats it.....
I am displeased there are no quests involving the search for Turalyon or Alleria.

Illidan: Yes mortals, learn to fear me as I easily defeated Arthas! Bwahahahahahaha! *strikes evil villian pose*
Kael and Vashj: *sweatdrop* Players: But um....that big gash in your stomach... Illidan: Oh...that. That's just a flesh wound. |

I think Kael might actually have Alleria trapped... but that's just speculation on the part of it'd be interesting if Sylvanas came to rescue her sister from her prince.
*OMG SUBTEXT.*

If sylvannes came with her Dreadlord pet then expect some hot Turalyon/Varmithras action. Besides, that would be lame, I think it would be much cooler for the Heros of the Alliance, And the Sons of lothar, to go resuce her, Just like in warcraft 2 and how they rescued Kurdan, It would be awesome seeing daneth, Kurdan, Khadger all in action again to rescue Alleria and turalyon.

Yeah, I need to level my 60 Orc Warrior and check out the Horde side quests.
There's also a quest series in Netherstorm involving Tyrygosa and Jorad Mace from the Sunwell Trilogy, but it's not fleshed out much. You can't even talk to Jorad. They are just basically investigating the Netherdragons and Tyri is trying to see if what happened to them could have some kind of benefit to the blue flight. There's also of course the quest to kill Zuluhed the Whacked but it isn't fleshed out much either. You just basically go kill him. Interestingly once he gets to like 30% he yells out for Illidan to give him power and turns into a Drakenoid.

Once they introduce the Netherdrake faction next patch I am sure Jorad and tyrygosa will offer more quests and be fleshed out a bit more. The same goes for Arator - he just seems too cool to just play such a small part, even if he does sound like the typical cool and calm anime hero

The Teron Gorefiend chain is cool, and I liked the chance to get my hands on Zuluhead finally. I just hate the fact that there are soooo many different factions of Draenei to allign with but yet they were supposed to be almost destroyed. Also, why does Illidan have soooo many Nathrazeim that sided with him? Its all a bit to take in.

BTW, I forgot to mention the Teron Gorefiend quest, that one was huge. P.S. - Anyone else extremely annoyed at the laziness of Blizzard designers in regards to readable books in TBC? Or that is, the lack of them? Outland has no real readable books on tables, etc (only one I recall is you can read "Green Hills of Stranglethorn" at Nessingway's Camp in Nagrand). Most quest items, notes, scrolls, etc are not readable whereas in the original game a lot of that stuff would have been. When I couldn't read Krasus' spellbook I was particularly disappointed ![]()

But it would be cool if the goofy heroes with no personality (save Khadgar) went and fought whoever's holding onto Alleria (and Turalyon) in a clash between good and evil? =S Well, whatever floats your boat I guess. ![]()
