Orb of Fire Mortally Wounded

Mortally Wounded

Though the former dragon aspects have the wisdom to cope with their new reality, their children still struggle to come to terms with mortal life. Five chosen dragons set out on a quest to discover the true meaning of what it is to be mortal, if they don’t kill one another first!

Author's note: Please be aware that there are mini spoilers in this fic to my other fic "Imajin That!" Though they are minor, if you do not want a single aspect of that story revealed, avoid reading this. When the story point has been revealed in "Imajin That!" I'll revise this warning.

Quest 1!: Aspects of Existence

Alexstrasza let out a long, sad sigh as she sat alone in one of Wyrmrest Temple’s inner chambers. Her now mortal vision had seen the rise and fall of ages and witnessed the near destruction of the world she was charged to protect. After the Cataclysm, the word’s troubles didn’t seem to end. Her shining, ruby eyes saw the decimation of cities, the resurgence of the Twilight’s Hammer, and the near collapse of time itself.

Despite the weight on her strong, seemingly unbreakable back, it was not the loaded memories that caused a frown to remain on her flawless face. The cries of her children in her ears and the sight of their sorrow-filled eyes pricked at her warm-beating heart. Just as it seemed the former aspect of life would loose her self in her thoughts, the chamber door opened.

Heralded by two azure dragonkin, the former aspect of magic, Kalecgos, entered with a small smile and an acknowledging bow.

“Dragonqueen, it’s good to see you again,” the half elf –looking blue dragon softly spoke with a broken but still-regal tone. Alextrasza’s eyes seemed to shine with a happy light as her frown began to turn. She gave Kalecgos a fleeting smile as she motioned to one of four empty seats around a splendidly-adorned circular table. He took a seat beside the dragonqueen before dismissing his escort.

“Hello again Kaelic. Are you well?”

“As well as one can be. How about you?” Kalec softly asked with a quiet sigh as his reply.

“I must admit, this is becoming harder than I initially thought it would be. I have never known this…condition.”

“I cannot imagine what you and the others are feeling. I have known a long life without an aspect’s power…but this pushes my own comforts. We shall get through it, though,” Kalec asserted.

“I hope so…” Alexstrasza’s voice trailed off as memories of Murazond’s end and Nozdormu’s own future suffering rattled her usually unshaken mind. It was then her beloved younger sister, Ysera, arrived. The younger, more pensive former aspect gave her sister a gentle-eyed look as she nodded in respect before taking her seat. A small smile came to her face as she nodded to Kalec before speaking.

“Brother Nozdormu is late?” Ysera asked with a joking raise of her brow.

“I am never late sister,” An elder dragon’s voice came as the smiling elf-looking figure it was attached to step into the room. “I would think thing dire in deed it I could not remain punctual.”

“We can all give thanks for that,” Alexstrasza smiled as the air in the room seemed to grow lighter with each arrival. Nozdormu took his seat beside Kalec allowing Alexstrasza to begin her meeting.

“It does these eyes well to see you all acting so cheerfully. I did not summon you here lightly, however, but before we begin…have you all been well?” Alexstraza looked to her younger sister who returned the gesture with a soft smile.

“Despite things, the dream has not been calmer. I have found much support among my children during my…loss. They seem to be adjusting well, well most of them,” Ysera admitted with a faded smile. Nozdormu’s sad vision rested on the table as he felt the dragonqueen’s vision shifting to him.

“At this moment…all is well with me. My children…are not yet afraid of what I will become. They fear something far more at the moment, something they had never before.”

“What is that?” Kalec asked with a questioning look.

“…death: Meaningless, degenerative, death. It seems dying for a cause uplifted them, sacrifice and nobility made the loss of life justifiable. The thought of death without purpose, the flowing of time working against them, making them decrepit and weak without their aspect’s endless blessing…” Nozdormu could not find the voice to continue his explanation. Once again the room seemed to drape itself in thick veils of sorrow. Kalec mercifully cut through the silence.

“My flight has suffered similarly, but not as acutely as that…I’m assuming our sisters have felt similarly from their servants and children?” Kalec asked, looking to the red and green former aspects and receiving slow, guilt-laden nods in response.

“Something must be done…I can barely stand watching them, seemingly so listless in their duties. It is why I asked you all to come…but we’re still waiting on one more to arrive,” Alexstrasza informed, earning her looks of confusion from her fellow former aspects. Just a few moments after the statement was uttered, a loud knocking came from just beyond the chamber door. Alexstrasza motioned to one of the red drakonids guarding the entrance to open the door. The other aspects turned to see the newcomer enter with shock and surprise spreading in their vulnerable, mortal sight.

The young man, dressed in Uldum’s finest fashion, appeared as a dark-skinned human. His guarded eyes were as stony as his expressionless face. The very walls of the meeting chamber seemed to stifle him as he respectfully nodded to the dragonqueen who motioned for him to sit in the final, empty seat.

“W-What is this? Why is HE here?” Kalec asked, unable to contain the outrage-laden question. The stone-faced newcomer said nothing as he took his seat without antagonizing gesture.

“Wrathion has come at my humble invitation,” the dragonqueen spoke, turning her thanking gaze to the black dragon prince, “I know your feelings, young prince, and I thank you for entertaining my request,” Alexstrasza sincerely spoke to the unmoving and silent Wrathion. The black dragon in human skin gave a shallow nod of acceptance as the lingering looks on his person didn’t seem to bother him.

“I have asked you all to come today for one purpose: I know you all care for your kin as much as I do, and at the present rate, our kind might not be long for this world. They must be shown the way, and I am not certain that we are the most qualified ones to do it. I myself have learned so much form mortals over the centuries, though I know not all are apt to learn from them directly. My proposition is this: we must choose ones from among our servants and children to learn what mortals have to teach about their condition while we tend to thinga. Then they can, in turn, bring that knowledge onto their brothers and sisters. This is the only way, I can reason, we can spare them the suffering and confusion they feel. What are your thoughts?” Alexstrasza asked, looking with beaconing eyes to her comrades and siblings.

Looks of doubt and contemplation grew rampant among the three other former aspects, with Wrathion’s un-cracking, stony expression remaining the only constant.

“For that to be affective…it would be take some, what’s the word?” Ysera struggled to compose her thought as a rumbling word finally escaped the dark prince’s lips.

“Humbling,” Wrathion added.

“Y-Yes. I do not know many among my flight who would be able to put themselves in such…equal regard to a mortal. It is one thing to work with mortals; it is another to learn from them…”

“Exactly so,” Kalec agreed, trying to scour his brain for a single one among the blue dragons who could take on such a task.

“There is one in my children who is expert in dealing with mortals, but he is a bit tied up at the moment with urgent matters. He has an offspring, however, that follows in his spirit. If we agree upon this as a potentially valuable endeavor, I will commit her to this effort,” Nozdormu offered with a supportive look to the vulnerable-seeming dragonqueen.

“I simply don’t know if it can be done, or if it would be an effort in futility,” Ysera sighed.

“I agree. The premise seems…flawed,” Kalec carefully added. Alexstrasza looked to her table-mates with a nod.

“Well then, it would seem we have two for, and two against…Prince Wrathion, it seems the decision will rest with you. What are your thoughts?” Alexstrasza asked with begging breath. Wrathion slowly looked to the other table members before speaking.

“I could care less the fate of prattling old dragons. Your flights blindly followed their aspects, their leaders, their gods, if you will, for so long. Now, without them, they are lost and wander blindly towards their own demise,” Wrathion spoke with little venom as Kalecgos cast him a warning look. The strong-willed young prince continued.

“Despite my distain, it would be vastly hypocritical not to acknowledge the whelp-lings’ plight. I needn’t state my flight’s former…problems with such a dependency. I have raised my young to be free- thinkers and to find their own destinies, with great success. I can speak to the idea that your children could also be capable of free-thinking and come to accept that life’s purpose does not need to be spelled out by now flawed god-figures,” Wrathion spoke as if his opinion was irrefutable fact. The room went silent again as the others took in the words.

“I suppose…it’s worth a try,” Ysera sighed and cast a look to Kalec who crossed his arms.

“If it is the will of my fellows, then I too shall choose someone for the task. Should they work individually or in tandem with one another?”

“My children prefer to work alone…” Wrathion quickly spoke. Alexstraza seemed to ponder the idea, swishing the concepts around as if she were sampling two sips of wine.

“Though that would be preferable to some, I think at least a little interaction should take place. It would avoid wasting time on duplicating efforts,” Nozdormu spoke while impatiently tapping his fingers on the cool table-top.

“That and it may be good to have some of their own kind around, even if their scale colors differ,” Ysera offered.

“Then why not send several of the same kind to approach different mortal groups?” Kalec asked with a hint of frustration.

“Can so many honestly be spared? How many from your flight would even be willing to do such a thing and take it seriously? One of each should be enough. At the very least, it will allow them to approach things from different angles,” Nozdormu spoke with a fatherly scolding tone. Kalec tried to answer but found none suitable for uttering.

“This can only end badly…” Kalec muttered as Alexstrasza cast him a firm but slightly pleading look.

“I can spare one of my children. She is…the most dutiful among them, as independent as she is. She would be the best choice to work among others outside her kind,” Wrathion spoke, casting a significant look to Alexstrasza. The dragonqueen nodded in understanding as the image of the dragoness in question in her mind’s eye came and brought a soft smile to her face.

“I know of whom you speak. She is a superb choice for the effort…and will help determine my selection.”

“Then I shall pledge her to this effort as my other children will likely refuse,” Wrathion spoke with obvious approval and pride at his children’s self-reliance and often rebellious nature. At the end of the meeting, all five dragons returned to their places of comfort to begin planning the gathering of five.

Only the finest for the sexiest former aspect in the land . Seriously though I heart Noz's mortal form. Brown eyes on an elf are sexy.

Well, this got done a lot later than I'd hoped, but it did get done. While you should be careful of spreading yourself too thin, this is yet another tour de force of writing. I love it!

Are you certain that word means what you seem to think it means? (Sorry, couldn't resist.) The word 'decimate' is increasingly used to mean "to destroy in spectacular fashion;" as in "utterly decimated." This is incorrect. 'Decimate' is based on the same Latin root as 'decimal' and 'decimeter,' meaning "tenth." Thus, a more proper definition of 'decimate' would be "to reduce to a tenth of its former size or strength." It makes sense talking about armies or populations, but not cities. How about "the devastation of cities?"

It was NOT the memories?

A quick note on capitalization: General titles (e.g. "president," "king") are considered common nouns, and thus not capitalized. A specific title (e.g. "President of the United States," "King of Scotland") is considered a proper noun, and thus is. However, any title or honorific used in direct place of a name (e.g. "Mom," "Dad," "Your Majesty") is capitalized as though it were a name.

Mortally Wounded

Quest 2! Five Little Dragons: Fellowship is MAGIC!

~*~

Nozdormu arrived at the entrance to the Caverns of Time with a relieved sigh. His old wings seemed to get soar more quickly than they had when he was the Aspect of Time. He returned to the comfort of his sheltering home and strolled past his bowing subjects. The rhythmic ticking and soothing, swirling clouds within the caverns of time seemed to dull the sharp sensation in his nerves, though the heaviness in his noble heart remained.

He looked to his children and subjects with as friendly and caring expression as he could muster. Some looked to him with admiration and renewed hope, others, though cowering in shame, held nothing but fear and dread in their honest eyes. He closed his eyes for a moment before forcing them open again to continue in his progression. When Nozdormu found himself in the very center of his domain, his beloved mate was strangely absent.

“Soridormi? Where have you gone, shining light on my hourglass?” he softly called.

A servant quickly came to his side and, with much haste, informed the aspect that his prime consort, Soridormi, was in one of the clutching chambers. Though a small pang came when he realized he was, once again, absent from the laying of one of his broods, he reasoned the protective females would have instinctively chased him away during birth anyway.

He nodded in thanks, making a mental note to visit the eggs later in the evening, before asking the young drake to keep him informed of his mate’s progress and health as he left the main chamber for one of the deeper tunnels.

The humble, sandy avenue lead to a large chamber, filled with cubby holes large enough to house the majority of his servants and children. His great wings lifted him towards the upper-most part of the chamber, where one in the thousands of bronze dragons rested.

The young female, nearly sprouting her adult horns, listlessly sighed as the familiar scent of her former aspect, but current grandfather came to her nostrils. Though her legs were asleep, she stumbled to quickly stand and bow her head in his presence.

“M-My lord, I was not expecting you!” The young female spoke with a crackly, dry voice. Nozdormu shook his head.

“So formal, Rhudormi; your father would hardly approve,” Nozdormu said with an amused tone, causing the female before him to give a small laugh.

“I am sorry grandfather. Sometimes I forget how to act appropriately when spending so much time among your lesser servants. What brings you to my den?” Rhudormi spoke with a slightly more relaxed tone.

“I have a very important task for you, child. One I would have assigned to your father, had he not been already charged with my work. You are the next best candidate,” Nozdormu confirmed the thought with a firm nod.

“Oh my…I will certainly do my best not to tarnish your confidence in me, grandfather. Wh-What is the task?” Rhudormi asked. Her eyes flickered with curiosity as Nozdormu began his explaination. The little shine began to grow, but shifted to a growing nervousness as he continued. Her heart nearly leapt from her maw as the notion of not only spending extensive time around all sorts of mortals, but spending that time working with others who did not dwell within the Caverns of Time. Rhudormi took a step back.

“Granfather…I do not know if I can--”

“Are you not the daughter of Chrozdormu, son of my own sowing?” Nozdormu softly asked, closing his maw tight before a small chuckle could escape. Rhudormi quickly nodded. “Then you are more than capable of completing this task. You will meet the others in Dalaran in one week’s time. I am certain you will make myself and your father very proud.”

“Grandfather, h-how long will I be…working with this group? When will I be able to come back home?” Rhudormi asked with fear and dread in her voice. Her grandfather knowingly smiled, causing a sinking feeling to rise within the young female.

“When the job is done, and you’ve learned all you can to help your brothers, sisters, and yourself get passed the mortal sorrows, you will be able to return to us,” Nozdormu softly informed.

“Y-Yes sir…I will do my very best not to let you down,” Rhudora spoke with a shaking voice. With one final, kindly bow of his head, Nozdormu took his leave and flew in the direction of the clutching chambers.

--

The young maiden’s honey brown eyes slowly closed as a wide smile spread across her pink-snouted face. The warm sun and softly cooling wind engulfed her form as she felt a prickle of sheer joy spread across her entire body. She lay there with furry hands outstretched and tail slowly wagging beneath her, as a brief shadow momentarily blocked the warming sun. Her eyes opened again as her bovine lips took in air with a gasp.

The druid-garb-adorned tauren quickly rose to her hooves as the great emerald form began to shrink. When the dragon in her sight finished shifting to a smaller, violet-skinned form, the tauren quickly sank to one knee.

“Lady Ysera, my mistress, what have I done to earn the honor of your company?” the female tauren blushed as the former aspect approached. Ysera gave a motion for her servant to rise as the towering tauren resumed a standing stance.
“Greetings Lisariss, I have come to request your participation in something…” Yesera began as she continued to further explain the task and the details of what she intended for one of her more mortal-friendly servants. When the former aspect finished, a wave of questions brewing in the young, tauren-formed dragon seemingly spilled forth with little attempt to dam the flow.

“My lady, I know many of our kind struggles with this, but I’m fine—I really am! Why not send another who is more in need of study?” Lisariss questioned with an apologetic bow. Ysera did her best to hold back the frustrated sigh as she replied.

“You were not the first I approached about this, Lisariss. While you are no means a poor candidate…many of the others have retreated too far into the dream to be pulled into service. You are one of the few who remain in this waking world and among mortals, no less. Can you think of a better dragon to ask?” Ysera sincerely spoke though her tone did carry some of her inner frustration to the cooling breeze.

“That is true…but there should be no need for me to do much more research. I have studied the greatest mortal civilization in all of Azeroth! I have learned so much about kindness and harmony from them, I can begin helping my brothers and sisters right now if you would ask it!” Lisariss quickly and excitedly spoke. Her ears, which were pointed upward, slowly sank with her lazing shoulders as Ysera’s deflated voice came to her hearing.

“While the tauren are indeed quite noble beings, I must ask you to…expand your mind and open your heart to the other mortals as well.”

“B-But my lady, why bother? I have seen the other races in action. They are violent and selfish. What could we possibly learn from them but malice and treachery?” Lisariss spoke with indigence in her voice before her honey-brown eyes went wide with realization. She quickly sank to her knee and profusely apologized for the tone.

“I’m afraid you DO have quite a bit to learn, Lisariss. Do not think for a moment that this is a request,” Ysera spoke with a little more annoyance and a lot less patience than her servants were accustomed to. Lisariss bowed lower. “You will arrive, promptly, to meet your teammates in Dalaran in one week, is that clear?”

“Yes, of course my lady! I shall begin preparing for the project right away,” Lisariss quickly spoke, not lifting her horned head to see the apologetic look on the once endlessly serene dragon’s face.

“I thank you. Take care and good luck.”

--

“Where is that blasted book?” an irate and irritated female voice growled to no one in particular. Pale hands pulled out tome after dusty tome in a personal library that rivaled Dalaran’s own, each being tossed haphazardly behind the human-looking mage. The dark-haired mage scowled as each book that was not the one she sought seemed to make her heated temper intensify.

“Which book, my lady?” a sheepish, teen-like voice quietly asked. The voice squeaked as the whelp-form that produced it hurried to avoid getting struck by flying books as they fluttered with a ‘plop’ to the cold, tile floor.

“’The Arcane Currents of the Twisting Nether’--I just saw it the other day! Did you do anything with it?” The angry human turned with accusing brown eyes to the little, blue-scaled whelp who quickly shook its head.

“No Lady Holly; b-but I think I may know where to look…” the little whelp offered as his little wings began to push him upward towards the top shelf. He darted and hovered over a small series of books before a larger book caught his eye. He quickly moved to pull the heavy book from the shelf, finding his wings beating twice as fast as the tome came free. “Here it is!”

“What?” Holly asked with a raised brow as the little azure whelping quickly sank. Holly reached for the hefty tome and mercifully took it from the whelp’s failing grip. “Wherever did you find it so fast?”

“Um…it was under A for Arcane,” The whelp flinched as if expecting a swift strike for making the elder, human-formed dragon look foolish. When the whelp opened his golden eyes his vision took in the sight of a pleased and pensive woman as her eyes hungrily tore into the information within the heavy book.

“Good, very good. Thank you, Zazz.”

“Y-You’re welcome my lady. What’s on the agenda for today?” the azure whelp, called ‘Zazz’, curiously asked.

“We have a full day. Once I get through this tome we’re going to conduct a few energy experiments with those crystals I ‘acquired’ from the Eye of Eternity. Record the results and repeat the test using different catalysts and environments. We should be able to glean some patterns and movements in the energy flow that way. Then we can--”

“L-Lady Holly?”

“Yes?” Holly grumpily asked as the interruption came like a brick wall to her speeding thoughts.

“I thought we were to meet sir Gawenostrasz for supper this evening. You wrote it on your calendar last week. He will be most disappointed if you cancel again…” Zazz sheepishly informed. Holly’s eyes went wide for a moment before a hissing curse came from her crimson-painted lips.

“That’s right, let me think—ah! Damn it. I really need to get this phase of the experiment moving if I’m going to meet my next deadline...”

“Can’t you do some today and the rest tomorrow? I’m sure your report won’t be too affected by a little time away from work,” Zazz offered as he fluttered towards a small, soft-looking periwinkle cushion. He landed on the cushion with a fluffy ‘flop’ and began to burrow until comfortable.

“Father’s report is a courtesy, of course, but your lord will send a small army after me if one little crystal isn’t accounted for. He will not take kindly to a late report,” Holly shook her head as she brought her book towards a large, paper-lousy desk near a dusk-draped window. The little whelp rolled in the softness of his personal bed and let out a gleeful chirp before tossing another thought from his little beak.

“I wouldn’t worry too much. Your research is approved but not a big priority for our flight. No need for such an aggressive schedule. And your classes won’t start for another 3 months. You have plenty of time,” Zazz chirped. He looked to the now sitting mage as her eyes and attention seemed captured by the lurid tome. The little whelp sighed as his large amber eyes grew sad for a moment before a spark of realization came. “Lady Holly, the mail--I-I didn’t check it yet. Shall I go fetch it for you?”

“Hmmf, yes. Go.” Holly distractedly spoke. The little whelp darted off towards the exit while his companion and charge continued reading. Several dry, crisp pages later a soft knock came to her chamber door. Her eyes rushed to reach the end of the page when another series of slightly louder knocks came. “Come in!” she called.

The door squeaked open and was quickly shut again as a willowy looking young man entered. His shoulder-length, thing ruby mane displayed his rushed state as gold-tinted hazel eyes scanned the room for any occupants. When his vision came to the dark-robed woman at the desk he let out a relief-filled sigh.

“Thought you’d be in here…” the young mage called, voice quickly pealing the woman’s attention away from her studies.

“Gawain, you’re several hours early? Is everything alright?” Holly asked with a bit more concern and attention than she exhibited with her small, azure companion. Gawain approached and took a seat beside Holly who moved to place a book-marking ribbon between the pages.

“I’m afraid I have some, interesting news.”

“Oh?”

“The Dragonqueen summoned me to Wyrmrest yesterday. I just arrived back I few moments ago,” Gawain, also known as the red dragon Gawenostrasz, informed while brushing back a few loose locks of red hair from his face.

“What did SHE want?” Holly asked with a sneering snort.

“She wants me to be part of some initiative or something. We’re supposed to go interview some mortals, learn their secrets to happiness or something. She’s been a bit out of sorts lately…guess with all that’s been going on lately it makes sense.”

“What’s happened now and why is that any of YOUR concern? Last time I checked you were living in exile, remember?” Holly growled and spoke horrid curses in her native draconic. A gentle hand on her shoulder seemed to quiet her brewing wrath.

“I am exiled from my family, not from my flight, though I might as well be… Maybe it’s the Dragonqueen’s way of giving me a chance to redeem myself or something,” Gawain suggested as Holly forcefully closed her book with a loud pop.

“As if you NEED to be.”

“At any rate, it’s a long assignment. I may be gone for a while and…” he trailed off with guilt forming in his eyes.

“It’s alright, dear. I’m getting rather caught up in this project myself. We’ll find time once things calm down a bit I’m sure,” Holly assured with all the sensitivity her hot and stony persona would allow.

“I hope so. We don’t get to spend much time together anymore,” Gawain pouted. A small, uncomfortable silence fell between the two young dragons. Though their strange and arguable abominable romance started only a few years prior, it seemed that the spark that kept them heated was finally starting to cool. It was then a frantic-looking Zazz returned with a black-wax-sealed scroll.

“Mam, mam I don’t mean to interrupt but you have a letter. I-I think it’s from your father--a black dragon seal is on it,” he panted, placing the other bills, subscriptions, and unnecessary messages on a small table near the door. Zazz flew to Holly’s side and with a questioning rise of her brow, she received the letter.

Sure enough, Wrathion, the cleanser of her orphaned egg and adoptive father’s seal secured the communication. She lifted the wax and separated the edge of the parchment from the curled center.

Her eyes quickly scanned the direct letter before looking to Gawain with questioning eyes.

“Gawain, your task…does it have anything to do with a gathering of the flights to research the mortals?” she asked. Gawain slowly shook his head.

“Yes, we’re to meet near the Icecrown Citadel memorial statue in about a week--why?” Gawain asked as he watched his companion quickly extend the scroll. He took the letter and, with a little less care, began to read. His eyes went wide in realization, vision returning to his companion with a small smile.

“W-Well, it looks like we’ll be spending a bit of time together after all…”

Dragons. It's funny: the humanity with which you portray them fascinates me. It stands in stark contrast to the ancient, unfathomable beings I tend to think of them as. I like this; keep going.

Quote:
He nodded in thanks, making a mental note to visit the eggs later in the evening, before asking the young drake to keep him informed of his mate’s progress and health as he left the main chamber for one of the deeper tunnels.
One-sentence paragraphs are no-no in most cases. Attach it to something else, perhaps?

Quote:
filled with cubby holes large enough to house the majority of his servants and children.
I get what you mean, but this wording makes it sound like they're all crammed into one!

Quote:
The young female, nearly sprouting her adult horns, listlessly sighed as the familiar scent of her former aspect, but current grandfather came to her nostrils.
"Nearly sprouting her adult horns" emphasizes old-ness; "just barely sprouting" would emphasize young-ness. Second, hasn't he always been her grandfather?
"her former aspect, now merely grandfather, came"

May I ask how spending time with "lesser servants" leads to greater formality? Just wondering.
  • His old wings seemed to get sore
  • within the Caverns of Time seemed to dull
  • with as friendly and caring an expression as he could muster.
  • towards the uppermost part
  • one of the thousands of bronze dragons
  • not expecting you!” the young female spoke
  • the next best candidate.” Nozdormu confirmed the thought with a firm nod.

  • The young maiden’s honey-brown eyes
  • standing stance. {extra return} “Greetings Lisariss,
  • harmony from them; I can begin
  • treachery?” Lisariss spoke with indignity in her The word it gave you is not the one you want.

And not 'Zasz?' (SC joke)

Now that's a description I hadn't seen before...

with all the sensitivity her hot and stony persona would allow.
Usually those two things are considered opposites.

Might be better moved to next paragraph.

  • meet Sir Gawenostrasz for supper When a title is attached to a name, it too is capitalized. See Mr. and Mrs.
  • take kindly to a late report.” Holly shook her head
  • Your research is approved, but not a big priority
  • won’t start for another three months.
  • He looked to the now-sitting mage
  • his large, amber eyes

Let's see... That covers Bronze, Green, Red, and Black. Who's up for the Blues? Unless you mean the tag-along whelp counts...

It was something of an unexpected twist when Holly turned out to be a Black when all signs pointed to Blue. Probably as intended.

Still loving every minute of this. Excellent work.

Well considering i started a new job and stopped playing wow, its a Herculean effort to find the will to finish straydog saga.

Would creating an original character in my novel make it up to you super dragon face?

Hmmmm /ren contemplation face

There are no Dragons in the Life Well but there are firebirds that are basically a cross between raptors from Jurassic Park and the mount that drops off of Ragnaros. There were fish people but they're extinct...I take it you wouldn't want to be either a bird or dragonfly person would you? dragonfly has dragon in the name lol.

Put a Nozdormu reference in your novel and you're redeemed.

Put in a reference to that ravishingly handsome devil Mustrum, and I'll see that you're made a god.

@Nozdormu - well for copywrite reasons i can't mention Nozdormu directly, although there is a pair of characters called "the Time Maker" and "The Time Breaker" you can like them <3 or you know create a character.

@Munstrum - I'd be happy to put you in if you'd like to create a character. I can get with you about the races, world, and etc just let me know.

Sorry about that. If it makes you feel any better, the us gov keeps spelling my last name wrong and it screws things up for me lol.

So the question is do you want to be:

A human forest villager (hero)
A human forest Nomad ( chaotic neutral or villain)
A mountain human (hero)
An elf (hero)
A woodfey (hero)
A goldfey (villain)
A pooka (chaotic neutral)
A Noblemaus (villain)
