I had enough, this is my prayer, that Fojar stops seeing Alliance bias everywhere

The last quest chain of Valley of the 4 winds and Krasarang Wilds is very epic. Everything lead to the Great Wall: Chen, Li Li, Mudmug, Thunderfoot, Zhu's wardens, Red Crane's followers, Night Elves Sentinel, Tauren Sunwalker, Shadow-Pan, and the students of Chun Tian Monastery. All together, fighting against the mantid invasion.

Actually the mantids are victims themselves as well. They are running away from Sha of Fear. And there is also a quest to cleanse mantids from the corruption of sha. That's why a supposed-1000-year cycles of invasion kicks off a hundred years earlier. There will be a cinema showing that the Great Wall has been breached and a gigantic bug crushing the wall.

God, yes. I am so happy that Blizzard is keeping things gray instead of making the mantid evil for the sake of being evil. Things are way more interesting when you realize your enemy's reasons for doing what he's doing are not so different from what you'd be doing if you were in his shoes. Makes you question your own morality. Are you really "the good guy?" GOOD SHOW, BLIZZ.

Well, it was kinda obvious, we had already seen the Empress/Queen with some signs of Sha-fication.

I'm not in the Beta nor have I been following a lot of the more recent developments regarding the mantid. It could've just as easily been that the mantid were working for the Sha.

Apparently the Pandaren Monk Trainer has been there since the Burning Crusade

Quote:
I don't know if it's implemented in all the starting areas yet, but the Draenei monk lore has been put in with the class trainer--who is Mojo Stormstout. Just thought I'd share it with anyone interested. Also, as a side note: The Draenei Male Tiger Palm animation has them cup their fists together and do some kind of upper cut to the enemy's jaw. Which is fantastic!

I also don't know if I got the full conversation, but when I approached him he was having a conversation with an NPC. This is what I got:

Quote:
Mojo Stormstout: But, I am a master fighter, with extensive knowledge of the world's flora and fauna. Surely I can help?

Vindicator Aldar: No - this is our problem, we must deal with it ourselves.

Vindicator Aldar: But, here comes another survivor. Seems good with their hands...maybe you can teach them your fighting skills?

Mojo Stormstout: Of course! It would be an honor.

Transcript of the quest he gives you:

Quote:
I hope your people are alright...the crash was unbelievably loud and destructive!

<Mojo looks you over, evaluating your potential.>

Yes, you'll do fine. They've said that they need more people to fight, and they don't want me to hurt myself. I'm not afraid, but I don't want to intrude. So, I'll teach you.

As you may have discovered, your experiences in combat will unlock new potential within you. Go, see if you can master a new ability. Show it to me. You'll get the hang of things.

Later, after you've learned and practiced Tiger Palm...

Quote:
Keep that technique handy, <name>. You can use it to finish off strong opponents, or just to feel awesome. Like a tiger.
All in all it looks like the Pandaren don't require you to die, undie and then become a mind slave to learn their techniques. Which is okay with me.

edit: More dialogue I missed that appears when you talk to him:
Quote:
I'm just walking along, cataloging the local wildlife here in Azuremyst, when suddenly...

BAM! <Mojo mimicks an explosion with his hands.>

I don't think I've ever heard an explosion that loud in my life!
Suddenly Retcon

And become Mojo Jojo?

Anyway I since some monks have been there at least since TBC, I assume it was kinda like that how the crusaders got their monks

Yes, you got the joke!

Also, didn't Blizzard state that every race has developed martial arts combat, but that the monk class is specifically based upon the pandaren style?

Is there any way to see the cinematic at the wall if you completed the quests at Stoneplow last build?

Big cinematics tend to have NPCs that let you see what happened. Try talking to NPCs.

I hate it when an entire race of something is evil. The morally gray thing can be overused though. Psychopaths exist in real life who just want power and fame. There aren't any redeeming qualities in Gul'dan, and that is refreshing to find in Warcraft, where most of the enemies are either corrupted or misguided.

Wait a second now...

I made a post some time ago stating Blizzard could put Pandaren in the Cata leveling experience, because Pandaren were canonically wandering Azeroth during that time. So Monks existing and stuff makes sense and doesn't retcon anything.

Huh. Intredasting.

The thing is that it hasn't actually happened. The wall is still up, but I did all the quests in that area last build and none of them have reset.

The BC starting zones are from before Cataclysm though, hell said Pandaren mentions the crash having occured just then. I was pretty sure the Draenei isles were pretty much uninhabited land prior to the crash (save that one Night Elves family) so it just happens there was a Pandaren there during the crash....and we're oly being told this now?

No shit? Still doesn't make it any less awkward.

That being said though, I'm glad they chose Mojo, a Pandaren we knew was crossing Azeroth so there's at least a little continuation.
