There were many many instance portals with red crosses on them that said 'This area isn't open in the demo'. I think we're only going to see 1-25 stuff in general until release.

I guess they will test some of them in beta at least.

So since it is my birthday today and i have my Kindle Touch i am now wondering... Is the Guild Wars 2 pre-purchase worth it ?

Considering how bad they are at running Beta events, not really. The Beta is neat when it's actually running but we had 1 event last month and by the looks of it the next won't even be till next month. It was pretty much just a smart money grab by ANet.

Well, if you're asking if I/we think the game is going to be fun, then I personally can answer that I enjoyed the first one a great deal and never stopped playing it.

But not everybody liked the first one. So I guess the answer is you should read more about it, and take very seriously what it says about gameplay and such.

I know fine well that i will enjoy it . I was asking if the pre-purchase was worth it since i have heard little about the beta weekends at all and i think Leviathon has answered that for me so i shal wait.

I once hope to play this game so much, but TOR took away too much passion.

Whatever, I will still try it, even if just to know the story.

I'm playing it. Because engineers.

Until then I shall use Skyrim to occupy(lol) my time.

I bought the pre-purchase and I think it was well worth the price. The beta was great fun and after the first night I didn't have any problems with it.

The problem is they do not tell you any details on when the beta weekends will be which was something Tera did well and when dipping that kind of money into the game its good to have that information available.

Iirc it was mentioned once a month until the beta's over.

But don't quote me.

They already said there won't be one this month.

So I stepped away for a bit, but now that I'm back, I'll probably have to let my annual pass to WoW go dormant. All they do is cut off your WoW account and disable Diablo 3, then when you restart, you just have to re-add your payment information.

But anyway, saw a ton of shit in the beta that has convinced me that GW2 is the game for me.

They're adding a lot of features that I think the game really needs, and will add a lot of appeal to people who may not be wanting to pick up the game just yet.

There's a few things the game still needs(like custom emotes, if they're not in yet) and a couple other features, but they are definitely on the right track.

I just hate I'll probably miss this beta event because my computer's gone and we're moving soon.
