But yeah, Magistrix, it does get pretty ridiculous. I've never much enjoyed comic books/graphic novels, but that's mostly an issue I have with the writing styles.

Random and lengthy monologue thought bubbles does not an enjoyable read make.

I don't know. I think lengthy monologue can be pulled of in this format, though I've only ever seen it succeed in Japaneese manga or Korean Mwanha. I can't recall a single time where I've enjoyed a long patch of text in any western-written comic.

Well a lot of Shakespeare's greatest work was just characters standing around giving really long speeches. Look at Mark Antony's funeral oration or Borachio's reveal from Much Ado About Nothing, so there is definitely room for random and lengthy monologues in fiction.

I find it more funny than anything else. Its like as soon as you get super-powers you start wearing leotards and get promoted two cup sizes. Funny but not something to be offended by.

It is pretty bad marketing though. I'm outside my area of expertese on this one but I do know that the comic book industry, along with most print-based media, is struggling a lot right now. And surely one of the answers to that has to be attracting more of a female audience, which I don't think is going to work very well when you have most of the heroines acting as pretty much eye candy only. It's not very compelling and I could see why it puts off some people.

Whats funny is I know far more ladies who saw the Avengers because of sexy men than I know men who have seen any movie just for sexy ladies.

I think it's come to the point where the absence of sexy ladies would be noted. It's just a given, these days, and something that's expected to be in the movies which cater to this specific audience (most forms of sci-fi, super heroism or high fantasy).

Not really from what i've heard from femfriends. Women just get a lot more sex if they really wanted to and don't need porn as much. Allmost every time someone conducts an experiment where a man and a woman (ranging from fat to below average to normal to good looking) ask random people in bars if they want to get laid the woman gets a lot of yes while the male usually ends up with handcuffs (the official version, mind you, not the playful ones) and/or drinks in his face. This has nothing to do with the discussion at hand, but i find it insanely interesting.

I think as a guy who actually suffers from sexual frustration quite often, I can actually really agree with Verdande. Sometimes I just don't want skimpy clothing thrown in my face everywhere I go because then I get pretty frustrated about my own unfulfilled sexual desires. (Which I suppose is normal for someone at my age where I'm supposedly at my sexual peak, I'm very reserved and waiting for that "special" someone but damn it's painful.)

Otherwise it's okay and enjoyable to look at, but it's kinda the same issue I have with transmog and every female avatar under the sun wearing the skimpiest outfits across Stormwind. It's just annoying to me, but this is the only time I've actually really complained about it.

On the film, Saw it enjoyed it a lot, will probably see it again, Plot was pretty basic though, even for a superhero movie.
I seem to remember there being some reveal that Loki wanted the Hulk for something that never really went anywhere.

It's hard to make a good plot in a superhero movie, because you have to make them the saviors so other people simply won't provide much help.
