Why do they have to make 10-14 years old as the protagonist?

Because the target audience has always been kids around that age. That the games have enough depth and are enjoyable by any age group is a different story.

When I was a kid, I never liked really young protagonists. I was watching Batman TAS when I was 5 for Heaven's sake.

Noob. I stopped watching Jay Jay the Jetplane and switched over to Batman when I was 3 years old. I even had the VHSs of the Tim Burton films.

Still doesn't change the fact that the games themselves are marketed towards that audience. When I went in and bought Diamond a few years back, there were quite a few moms in front of me just looking to get it for their kids who looked no older than 8. It's like the reason why shovelware like those iCarly's games sell so well, because kids see their shows in a game and instantly want it.


On a related note, when I went to get Conquest I was wearing my pokemon t-shirt my friend gave me for Christmas, and this hot white woman in her 30's came up to me asked me where I got it since her 6 year old saw it and loved it. Almost shed a tear.

The only things I remember watching when I was 3, were Tom & Jerry, and Looney Tunes.

PM's game plot is childish, at least before B&W.

The PVP is really hardcore.

Sadly, my viewing options were limited when I was 3 due to us stealing TV signals from Costa Rican TV satellites (I lived in Cuba). I remember Jay Jay the Jetplane, Barney and Batman TAS.

I was exposed to Tom and Jerry when I was 4, my cousin had a complete collection of all the episodes in pirated DVD's, so whenever I went to his house, we always watched Tom and Jerry. Looney Tunes came later in life, when I was 6 and living in Peru. I never liked Looney Toones though. So before that, I grew up watching classics like Pokémon, Digimon, Dragonball Z, Doraemon, Shinchan, and the likes. Besides that, I also got into American cartoons like Dexter's Lab and Johnny Bravo, but back then, I didn't understand what the hell they were saying since my English skills were basically nonexistent. There was also Ultraman, Super Sentai (the Japanese power rangers), the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Beetle Box, Godzilla, and all that good stuff.

Oh, I forgot to mention, Batman Beyond. That, and Batman TAS plus the Tim Burton movies have got to be the darkest things I've watched in my childhood.

With the rate that Pokemon is making their games, do you guys think that a next generation of Pokemon will come earlier than the standard 4 years? Although I hope it, I don't think they will do it...

Isn't the timing for B2/W2 about standard for the "third game" of the generation? Now only G3 remakes that were rumored and everything will go on the old schedule.

Tell that to the CoD developers. Plus they're not building the game from the ground up, just making changes to the existing build. Also I'm hoping they change the standard and just skip the remake and get to work on gen 6 for the 3DS.

Why if we already have Black and White 2? Instead of doing a 3rd version with like, 3 updates, they did an almost full sequel, which new storyline and everything.
