Default SPOILER - MOP Beta: Return of Sargeras Dialogue

Mists of Pandaria is more than cute pandas and Pokemon.

The latest patch introduced a new NPC who talks about his plan to revive Sargeras.

SPOILER:

See this just reminds me of the whole "Wait did he ever really die" debate.

Well, someone on the article has already made the jump from Sargeras to Garrosh being possessed by Sargeras.

Can't wait to see more clues. Reminds me of Ashbringer, when out of the blue people started spotting NPCs all around the world talking about it.

Way before Naxxramas was released.

This is the first time I ever see anyone talking so clearly about the revival of Sargeras.

And it's a Pet Battle trainer ... in a level 45-50 zone.

Wonder if there's more dialogues in Pandaria or elsewhere.

Yea, would like to collect them. They can't be trapped though in the Pet Battle.

Talking about demons. I wonder if this is the beginning of the opening of Outland's portals. We know Blizzard intends to redo Outland, like they did Azeroth in "Cataclysm".

I think they learned their lessons with remaking old content. While in the story it would make sense, the gameplay doesn't. As a player, you want new content, not rehashed classic stuff.

Speak for yourself. I quite enjoy 'rehashed classic stuff'.

I'd rather they fix the levelling experience than give us more ways to grind gear.

I don’t want to shit on anyone’s biscuits or anything here, but to me this really doesn’t seem indicative of a greater involvement of Sargeras in Mists. It seems more like stock dialogue of a demon-themed pet trainer and pet team.

That is what I was thinking. Can we think of any Burning Legion subsidiary out there that wouldn't wish for the return of Sargeras? What is significant about this Felwood guy?

Since someone suggested that this guy is a pet trainer, could someone tell me if there are other demonic pets besides Willy and the Personal World Destroyer? (I mean those that are based on warcraft demons and not those taken from diablo)

I mean, even Varimathras wanted Sargeras to return and he got really close too. That was back in like Wrath of the Lich King. If Zoltan is going to be an avenue for Sargeras to appear in the game for the first time, he's really lacking substance at this stage.

There's a Fel flame pet in shadowmoon valley which is basically a green fire elemental.

I don't think that it will involve Sargeras in Mists either. Probably after Mists.

I almost wonder if the Eye of Sargeras was doubling as some sort of soul anchor. Kil'jaeden lured Gul'dan to it, Kil'jaeden's machinations led Illidan to both the skull of Gul'dan then the eye, Maive destroyed it perhaps foolishly. His "body" was missing in the tomb, the tomb itself a Nightelven holy site. Could it have been a prison, could the Eye itself have been a sort of phylactery? It's runes sealing his power within by Aegwynn at his fall preventing his return to the Neather until after these events transpired? I wonder if it has some sort of indirect formula based relationship to the portal opening Eye of Dalaran.

Nah... just a passing thought. Would be nice for stuff to have a purpose retroactively.

By itself it could just be flavor text for the demon themed pet battler, but given the rest of the Legion hints this expansion, I'd be tempted to say you guys will be facing Sargeras in the next expansion. Grats.

“All of you must work to aid the great revival of our Master. Only through Him may we usher in eternal peace for all!”

“Our Master, protector of all life, will soon blind all of the heretics and grants us immesurable power!”

“The Master shall rain hellfire upon Azeroth, and then we will at last cleanse the Light from this wretched world!”

These lines interest me, what if Sargares wants to bring piece by wiping out not just the light but the old gods as well. Ok I am jumping the gun, as peace does not suggest that. But what if he wants to reset the universe completely and Azeroth is the key. To banish the old gods and the titans whom he might view as both being as bad as each other.

I can't wait to pet battle Sargeras with my Perky Pug since this is clearly what this is building up to!
