Default Interesting tidbit about Blizzard's current games under development

http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-18987181

"The bigger threat is Activision Blizzard's next MMORPG, codenamed Tribune, which we expect to be released in 2015. We know the firm's key creative teams are now working on that rather than World of Warcraft itself."
So either this is not Titan, Titan's gone under a name change, or they are completely wrong.

The most interesting part is where they say that the key creative teams are working on it rather than WoW. I doubt that's overly surprising, it's just the first I've seen actually say it other than players complaining on the forums.

Old news. If you watch the "making of" dvd's as each expansion goes along, the big named people are slowly dissapearing, other then Metzen, Stockton and Chilton. I'm sure it won't be long before we lose them too.

Metzen's already working on three franchises at a time without us having lost him from WoW, so I doubt the new game will change that.

I've never heard of anything called tribune and just today we were calling Titan... Titan. If I had to guess, it's that whoever did the reporting on this BBC story somehow misheard "titan" as "tribune".

I can tell you that "tribune" does not fit the naming scheme they have for codenames so unless they settled on a name and leaked it (INCREDIBLY unlikely), BBC is in error.

Newspapers often fuck up.

I'd probably just mentally replace Tribune with Titan.

So, do you know what Titan is then?

The better question is, how badly does Omacron want to castrate himself and then be force fed McDonalds to death?

The answer to your question is, he can't comment, and so neither should we lest we make him answer "yes" to my question.

I'm assuming we'll hear about it sometime this year, especially if they 2013 date I've seen thrown around is planning to be met still.

I try not to. Occasionally I'll hear someone talk about it and then excuse myself from the room.
