I... assume... you are using the word 'retard' figuratively, rather than literally, and do not believe the mentally ill should be thrown to the wolves.

In response to your broader post - Were you always this angry? I remember you being pretty chill back in the day, but now it seems every post you make is a rant about a particular breed of SJW psychopaths that I'm fairly sure are a vocal minority of even that minority which is being paid for by the government.

I don't know how anyone could honestly look at our welfare system and say it works. I have always been of the belief that welfare should exist to end the need for its own existence. That it is better to teach a man to fish instead of feed a man a fish. Instead we have negligible changes in the rates of poverty and these problems see exponential growth in costs. All that spending drives up the cost of living and the taxes that support them inhibit free enterprise that could help lower the cost of living or provide wages. The current system makes poverty worse and most of the money doesn't even get to people in need. This isn't compassionate or sensible. It is counter productive and not respectful to the people who pay taxes.

Walmart does more for poor people than the government does.

Its a NASA diversity thing with a talker whos in the past blamed lack of stem women on men as a group hating women.

Person from NASA offices (grain of salt) is posting it, and linked ti an internal server.

Im waiting for the follow up email theu were gonna post about how this stuff is an Obama mandate (the diversity thing) from 2011.

I wont link the slides, ect, without more proof,

STEM classes have very few women but so did the military.

The only time I really saw it as an issue was when a female professor decided to alternate between males and females when she decided to randomly pick on people for questions. It is a dumb way to alternate when there about about 40 students but 5 females.

The military has screening. Most academic classes don't.

Speaking for myself, I found it kind of a drag to sit through so many classes with so little, ahem, feminine company, but I guess that's what electives are for.

In the military there was always a female and male bathroom but the female bathroom only had a few people that actually used it so it felt more personal.

There are places I wouldn't feel safe working at as a female but STEM is more awkward I think. I imagine some of those guys are afraid to talk to girls. Unless there is a lot of group activities or labs I feel like pure lecture based classes I don't really even talk to anyone.

I don't know what it's like where you are, but there were usually some pretty good times to be had around the department common areas. Between trading tips on homework and discussing the material, there was plenty of time to talk about respective interests. I'm not sure what kind of culture your school has, but STEM people like nerdy stuff pretty much everywhere, right? Bring your Magic deck.
