Seems like they are showing a pretty clear chain of command in MoP. We don't know the full ranking system the Alliance and Horde employ but we've got a good bit of them now. Obviously the Private->Grand Marshal system is outdated.
Horde: Supreme Commander: Garrosh Hellscream General #1: General Nazgrim Possible Zaela/Gorgonna/Agmar being included. Lower: Chief Salyis (Not sure on this one but he said cannons and sounds like an orc... sort of) Gatrul Gorrok Alliance: Supreme Commander: Varian Wrynn General #1: Grand-Admiral Jes-Tereth General #2: Sky Admiral Rogers General #3: Commander Rell Nightwind/Admiral Taylor Lower: Captain Doren I don't have a lot of info right now so please feel free to share if you've got info on who's clearly above who in rank and vice-versa. Off the top of my head, just for names to throw around:
Horde: Sylvanas Windrunner (since she actively participates in battle planning) High Warlord Cromush Overlord Agmar Drek'thar Varok Saurfang (not really active) Captain Galvangar Alliance: General Twinbraid High Commander Halford Wyrmbane Vanndar Stormpike Balinda Stonehearth Kurdran Wildhammer Joanna Blueheart Force Commander Danath Trollbane (not really active) Also, Garrosh is Warchief, not Supreme Commander ![]()

What's the difference between a High Warlord and a General/Commander?
Overlords seem to be some kind of military governors, controling military settlements in contested areas. |

I think it goes General > Warlord > Overlord. Due to the PvP ranks, followed by Saurfang and Runthak's ranks. No real idea though.
