Anything akin to Shield in Warcraft will only form after there has been some form of peace for awhile honestly.

I'll be shocked if they go back to Azeroth, before further exploring Draenor.

I mean sure, WoD didnt turn out any good, but throwing away a full world and never looking back? It's kind of a waste, dont you think? especially with Azeroth running out of places to explore.

They could return to Draenor later too.

Draenor doesn't seem like a good place to stick around. The main reason we're here was that they wanted to show the W2 old heroes, now that we've seen them there isn't much staying around. Could just as easily explore the many other worlds we've yet to go to like Argus, K'aresh or Xoroth rather than stay in an alternate universe.

They already said they'd like to explore more of it, why do people keep thinking it has to mean immediately after WoD? We don't always stay on Azeroth.

Because flip-flopping between two worlds/timelines would feel weird and disconnected.

They're either going to milk the AU or abandon it as quickly as possible. One extreme or the other.

Destroy Draenor then leave to destroy Stormwind.

Coming this fall, seeeeeeeeege of stormwind. The park will get even more destroyed as well as many more things.

For 15 months.

And nothing will get repaired.

What would be a good name for an Azeroth S.H.I.E.L.D?

Dawn? Would be a good moment to tear asunder the Argent Crusade and make a larger Dawn organisation with specific chapters devoted to specific problems, Argent Dawn would be focused on the scoruge and undead, for example. Emerald Dawn could be a group helping the Green Dragonflight in protecting the Dream etc.

What would a D.A.W.N stand for? Draenor and Azeroth something something?

Double Azeroth Without Nightelves? A Horde organization with the goal of taking for themselves all the land the Kaldorei claim is theirs

Well, with the Mystic Runesaber mount being available soon, I remembered that during MoP we had two store mounts released before WoD were announced by related to the new expansion: the Iron Skyreaver and Grinning Reaver.

So, I think the Mystic Runesaber is also something they decided to add while developing stuff for the next expansion.

Infused with arcane power, the Mystic Runesaber has long been hidden by chaotic nether energies. Recently they have emerged from the shadows in search of ley lines to sate their thirst for magic.

Could the next expansion be arcane-related?
The runesaber does evoke thoughts of the ancient highborn as they recklessly experimented w/ magiks, calling the attention of the Burning Legion. Perhaps we'll get to look at the natures of all the different types of magic. I'm expecting a fight with the Legion, but I remember clearly when that was a Night Elf thing. I'm betting both breeds of elves will be getting attention. On the other hand, ogres and their particular brand of magic seem relevant.

Now as for what that could entail:
Races: if we are looking at the legacy of the Highborne, Naga, and to a lesser extent High Elves, are both possibilities. Ogres too possibly. Alternatively, this could be a good setting to do du races by exposing our characters to various types of mutating magic.
Classes: if I thought demon hunter were an option, This would be the time for it. Perhaps a spellbreaker class would be more plausible.
The cat reminds me of the Highborne, but it also makes me think of the twisting nether, so we could get broken isles, portal worlds or both.

It's worth mentioning that expansions never have just one thing. Those chain textures couldn't have told us about Primals and Breakers for instance.

Gameplay wise?

I'd be worried too. Hellfire Citadel looks like the first real raid in warcraft in about 6 years.

In terms of gameplay/mechanics, WoD raids are great, direct continuation from MoP raids. In terms of lore/story, I'll agree they'Re boring as fuck. Main reason I basically stopped playing - although I was technically enjoying raiding, I was sick to death of the theme and "story".

the theme alone made it just unbearable for me to even consider getting into pugging BRF. just had to give up. because fuck that shit. It reminds me too much of Bowsers castle. and having already raided Bowsers moms basement for about 14 months or so I just CBA raiding his castle.

I wonder why WoW doesnt have such things, other MMORPG always got little kind of leaks. There hasn't been major leak after Cataclysm leak also, Iron Horde leak doesnt count

As I mentioned in the main thread, they've replaced the new pirate ship model for the garrison ships with the Alliance and Horde ships from WotLK. This could be just to have the boats be more faction specific, but considering the pirate design... could it have been a model added by mistake?
