Cloud serpents - first mistweavers?
So first thing I notice about Cloud Serpents is that they do not have wings to fly with. So this gets me thinking on how they do, and I remember that Metzen mentioned in a interview before MoP was revealed that he really liked Avatar the Last Airbender. In the show, bending was actually done first by non-humans and humans picked it up from them.
Water: The moon Earth: Badgermoles Fire: Dragons Air: Sky Bison Sky Bison don't have wings either, they use their air bending to fly through the air. So, is this possible for Cloud Serpents and use it in order to fly? They seem fairly oriented with the mists, like their mistweaving spec using a jade serpent statue. So is it possible this is where monks learned mist weaving, from Cloud Serpents?

Yes, that's what t'm getting at. The origin of Mistweaving magic and how the monks learned it.

Monks predate the relationship between cloud serpents and pandaren. The monks were created to fight the mogu in the pandaren revolution, the order of the cloud serpent wasn't established until the subsequent Zandalari invasion. Until that point, most pandaren thought the cloud serpents were mindless beasts.
