Then this conversation did not happen.

My friend has quit wow 'permanently ' about 12 times now. Every major mmo that has been released since Aion has been the "wow killer" for him. He always comes back a week or so later, and always pretends he never said anything about quitting whenever I ask.

I don't see an 'end game' to GW2, and that's the only thing I'm really skeptical about jumping into it. Frankly, that's what keeps me away from most MMO's/action RPGs, the content just runs out before I really start.

WoW has its dead times, but at least we know it's consistent with its content releases.

You do realize those cultists there are all screwball nut jobs, like every other screwball nut job cultist that wants to bring about the end of the world, who praises big evil things and always has there 'lord' meet his/her end.

Obviously, I'll assume the epic girlfriend he's always bragging about has decided to bring one of her girlfriends into the relationship, and thus, he is too busy having wild three-way monkey sex to be bothered by our foolish MMOs.

Depends on how long you take levelling up and how much time you spend exploring. One of the things about WoW (and other games that chose to use the same format) for me is that the end game gets old very very quickly right now, so I'm willing to try something else out.

Ironically, the problem with most new MMOs is lack of end-game content. Here's hoping that GW2 has that sorted out at launch.

WoW basically has nothing but end-game content to worry about now. Leveling content is set, especially after Cata, they just have to keep bringing out things that appeal to the high-end players and create a few little pieces of leveling content like the Pandaren starting zone and the Monk class to keep things interesting.

Love the idea of having Azshara win Expansion 5, leading to a Legion invasion in Expansion 6.

I would think that any Legion invasion would be global in scale, requiring a substantial overhaul of the old world to include Legion content. The old world, with all its talk about the Cataclysm and Deathwing, is going to look pretty obsolete around Expansion 6. A Burning Legion invasion is the perfect excuse for one final revamp. Probably not on the same scale as Cataclysm, but enough to bring things up to date.

It'd be awfully suspicious if the Burning Legion invasion was localized to one new continent. "The Burning Legion has invaded! Luckily, they've only attacked the newly discovered land of Southrend!"

The only zones I could see Blizzard updating are the ones that didn't really get updated in Cata, and even then I don't expect that to happen. Maybe some phasing or something.

Is Dustwallow being updated at all with Theramore being destroyed (grumble) and whatnot.

Yes. It will have new quests as well as I recall seeing a lot of deprecated quests.

I wondering if the Alliance will be getting a new main hub.

I just did Alliance Dustwallow a few weeks ago and a lot of the Alliance quest go through Theramore. Most of them they could get away with simply re-routing if they had another place to put a bunch of Alliance NPCs.

Sargeras coming back in a Kael'thas fashion. Emerald dream was cut with a the book. Any hints? is Sargeras lurking, biding?

Sargeras is out there. Burning Legion grows in strength. While Azeroth is focused on war, some already look ahead to that fight.
