Panda

I considered opening a new thread titled "Information Gathering - Martial Artists and Where to Find Them" to find out how popular monks are on SoL, but then, I remembered Krainz's thread.

I was pretty amazed that, despite being the least played class, monks aren't that far behind some of the vanilla classes. I wonder how popular they'd have been if Blizzard had made them an heroic class. They have some of the best animations, are almost as mobile as DHs, but I've got an inkling that their panda martial artist theme isn't all that popular.

Would've been best if they were 4 spec like Druids and had the different specs use aesthetics or themes from other races martial arts.

Or had glyphs for it or something.

I mean I just can't imagine that no other species between Azeroth and Draenor has ever developed a viable hand-to-hand fighting system.

Since Khadgar and Greymane show that Blizzard has the technology to design trenchcoats, when can we move on from spellcasters using tube-sock dresses and wear more legitimately impressive-looking robes that look like this?

Stumbled upon this while browsing Reddit, and am cross-posting it to the cool-looking gear thread

A Dark Iron Rifleman:

It's quite nice that you have -some- way to play as a Dark Iron!

They taste like sex, except I'm having them.

Also whoever put together that splendid Dark Iron transmog is a true gentleman and an artist.

Do you think they ever cleaned up the Horde gunship that Deathwing destroyed in DS or do you think it's still lying in Dragonblight?

Of the various destroyed gunships, that the one with the biggest chance of having been salvaged, since it's relatively more accessible than the rest.

Orc Icon (War3)

The vast majority of us believe that we will fight the Void after Legion and that we might sail the South Seas. So far, all new classes have either been related to the expansion's main enemy or location. Would you rather have tinkers (South Seas) or a Void/Shadow based class? If it's the latter, what kind of class could that be?

Edit:
It's a shame that the orcs of Durotar never adapted to using hyenas as mounts and pets. Imo, it would have been nice to see them domesticate different animals based on the Azerothian region they've settled in. The Frostwolves, of course, could have continued breeding and domesticating wolves.

I want Tinkers, it's hard to imagine what a new void/shadow class would bring that shadowpriests and warlocks don't already, though some new glyphs that give shadow/void aesthetics to mages, warlocks, priests, and such would be nice.

---

I think it's partly due to the fact that Hyenas seem to be the centaurs pet of choice and Blizz didn't want to overlap with wolves already being a dog-like (though hyenas are closer related to cats genetically) animal companion.

What I lament is that we didn't see more domesticated lightning lizards or kodo bred with them to spit lightning and such.

Imo, it's hard to imagine new classes besides tinkers, period. Sure, there are enough themes to explore, but fresh class mechanics are rare.

Fine, the Kolkar can keep hyenas, if orcs get African wild dogs. (Blizzard really ought to update hyenas and gnolls.)

They really should, but I guess it's a matter of waiting until we have current content where gnolls and hyenas are used like how Highmountain has kobolds so gave them an update.

If we're dealing with Azshara next, we could get (playable) gnoll pirates!

Hogger goes international!

Gnolls are currently my flavor of the week (last week was selkies). If Blizzard ever decides to flesh them out, I'd kill for them to have a Junker/Mad Max aesthetic where they scavenge and reverse engineer old gnomish/goblin/orcish tech like the demolishers to suit their needs.

I once read that selkies were based on the horrific and disgusting practices of (some) lonely mariners.

Needless to say, I did not wish to look further into the matter.

Ohh, no, I don't dislike selkies.

I just didn't want to know more about their supposed origins.

I want to have Vanessa or Tess following my rogue around, but Ravenholdt's ability is way too good to bench him.

Meanwhile on my mage I haven't removed Kalec since I got him.
