Default Pick A Tank, Any Tank (Except Damned Dirty Druids)

Just looking for more expert input. I'm playing a prot pally most of the time now, but I have level 100 warrior and DK tanks sitting around, and could probably level up a Brewmaster alt I have quick enough.

My observation in LFR is that the DK's are pretty strong. What's the general consensus?

(Yes, I have a level 91 feral druid. No, I really don't want to tank with him)

You know, Hunters are pretty good at tanking.

I've always liked Prot Paladins. Call it habit, my guild's main tank has always been a prot paladin. DK tank is second.

Protection Paladins are very useful. A good Protection Paladin can do very well as a tank (although not as much as a Brewmaster Monk) and a bad one might be able to scrub by.

What are you looking for in your tank?

If you want to be teh best: DK or monk. They dish out respectable damage (DK pulling ahead in AoE especially but lagging behind in taking consistent damage) and have good self heal and survivability (Monk pulling ahead in survivability because of overall better mechanic, DKs shine, of course, in self heal).
Warriors are amazing ... with the Archimonde trinket. Which negates their weaknesses (magic) but have ample active mitigation.
Paladins kinda suck. Well, not really, they remain the same while everyone else was buffed.

Honorary mention: Druids are doing pretty well, closer to DK/Monk than the rest. Insane amounts of HP and amazing scaling.

Edit: Tons of edits because I'm slightly drunk. Also, in the end it doesn't matter because it's LFR so just play what's fun. I personally don't enjoy DKs because of the shift towards BB while Warrior is tons of fun and mobility.

You won't have to level your DK up as much than the others. Plus I like the idea of self-healing through damage.

Thanks... I'm leaning toward the DK.

How much do I have to finish on the legendary quest once I have all the abrogator stones?

As a healer I love DKs. They're always so goddamn powerful that I end up casting Lightning Bolt/going Fistweave for boss fights.

GOOD Brewmasters are really fun to heal too, but bad are the worst possible. But mostly, I'd say DK>Pally>Good BRM>Warr>Druid>Bad BRM. I haven't played since Highmaul so my opinion is probably pointless but I like to help yay bye

Short intermission with Garona and Khadgar.
Then kill 3 bosses in BRF (and Blackhand after killing the 3) and collect 900 Elemental Runes. You should get about 300 a week if you do the Shipyard and Garrison catch up quests + clearing BRF every week. So about 3 weeks.
Another intermission where you get Garona as follower.
Then it's just about the stupid Shipyard missions and doing HFC.
