If you're asking whether Metzen personally does world and quest design, the answer is not to my knowledge, no.

I think there is a good possibility that there are other beings of pure Light and Void/Darkness, but they might be rare outside of their respective realms. I mean, for all the commonality of elementals in Azeroth, they're most likely even more common in their home planes, considering the environment is the particular extreme in which they thrive.

So you're telling us he and Ghostcrawler aren't a two-headed mancrab who doesn't personally slave over the hot game 24/7 trying to develop lore, implement quests, design the gear, writes code, and nerfs my favorite class so he must hate me on a personal level? My life is a lie!

Physical reality IS the home plane of elementals. They don't naturally have plane-s those were created by the titans as an artificial prison for the corrupted elementals of Azeroth.

Metzen? A crab?

If Metzen were any animal it'd be a stallion. Or a T-Rex. Maybe some kind of T-Rex centaur with like the lower body of a stallion but where the horse's head should be it's a fucking t-rex.

I think he was referencing that a combo of Metzen and GC would be a mancrab. Although I like T-RexHorseManCrab better.

True. A T-rex has dinky arms, not the mighty pythons metzen possesses. Let's throw in a gorilla's arms and have them end in crab claws.

Yeah. That'd be bitchin'. I'd paint that on the side of a van.

A centaur but instead of a human torso it's a t-rex with gorilla arms, crab claws and the t-rex possesses Metzen's mighty beard.

While also flying on a rocket powered surfboard in space.

Also wearing bitching shades and a cowboy hat while surfing on dolphins with a burning pot leaf cross in the background.

I'm getting this shit tattoo'd with the words "Metzen" under it complete with Motley Crew style umlauts over all the vowels.

I think we can compare it with water: there's always some in the air, and then you have more potent sources like seas, lakes (the arcane wells) and rivers (ley lines).

Hmm... now I'm tempted to give it a shot. No promises though

Draenor had it's own matrix of ley lines, according to Beyond the Dark Portal (the novel). It's stated that Karabor was built on a ley line nexus, that's why Ner'Zhul had to be here to accomplish his ritual.

Really? What's funny is the other day I was checking some of my old posts and found a thread where that was actually a relevant question. I was making the guess that the red mist that cut the broken off from the Light was a result of corrupted ley lines erupting, and that got kind of brushed aside because no one was sure if Draenor actually had any.

I always believed that the true face of the Light would be expressed via a state of being. That assumption of mine comes from Naaru and how they're beings of light and that a Naaru can shift the other way as seen with M'uru. The reason we never really saw anything out there that is 'Light' aside from Naaru is that no one has really attained that state of being.

Yes, but we can only make assumptions at this point. I think that there must be a sapient source of the Light. For example, didn't Morgan Ladimore wish for forgiveness under the Light? Shouldn't the Light at least be sapient enough to forgive people for doing wrong deeds?

I'll say what I think about damnation. By doing evil stuff, your soul gets corrupted. The dialogue of the warlock minions from MoP beta pretty much confirms the void exists. Their description sounds really similar with the place Sylvanas ended up after she committed suicide. Corrupted energy doesn't belong in Paradise, therefore it goes straight in the void.

Speaking of the light, I noticed on the story forums that you had switched up your thoughts on an old argument we had over will power vs source Oma. So, with that in mind, is it now a will power AND a source that's needed, or just will power OR a source.

I'm pretty sure I've always said its willpower OR a source- you're referring to the blood knights, yes? I never insisted that M'uru or the Sunwell wasn't providing them power.

I kind of wonder if Blood Elves function more like mages who use holy magic instead of arcane by this point, rather than traditional light users. I mean, I'm grasping at straws here I admit, but looking at the technique of manipulation rather than the thing being manipulated pulling energy from an outside power source (and a well at that) is pretty much one of the the hallmarks of magery, isn't it? Of course that also leads into my theory that Blood Knights had previously been warlocks insofar as they gained their power by draining it directly from a powerful being.
