What about a CoT Battleground? Or a Scenario?
I could maybe see like, say, the battle of Southshore in WC2 as a BG. It may end up being something like Strand of the Ancients, though, I dunno. Quote:
But then there are dungeons where the major characters aren't really big players, like Battle of Mount Hyjal. Jaina, Thrall, and Tyrande just kind of stand there. Last edited by Reignac : 06-14-2012 at 03:55 PM. |

If you didn't pull the the npcs in to help during boss fights you were doing it wrong (those tauren in the Horde camp did amazing damage) we actually wiped a couple of times on Azgalor due to Thralls inability to move out of the fire.

Oh of course the unit NPCs help, but I've never noticed the major characters do anything.

Here's another Tomb of Sargeras: Something is making Gul'dan more successful than he should have been historically. Your quest is to make sure he dies in that tomb, instead of accidentally triggering the Burning Legion 20+ years early.

Depending of how Fall of Theramore is handled I'd like to see a "Fall of Quel'thalas" scenario from the High Elven side. Maybe it could be a dual scenario with the Scourge side too. Horde's would get Scourge first by finishing it they would unlock the Thalassian scenario and the Alliance would get the Thalassian scenario first because that would further my "Redeem Sylvanas" agenda

Zaelsino, the Fall of Silvermoon instance needs to have this guy in it as a fourth boss! Or as a miniboss, depending.

Would love it if we get to accompany Lothar in a Fall of Stormwind CoT dungeon.

I would guess they're not going to do any more CoT instances where the Infinite Flight is trying to screw things up, since we just took out the head honcho (Murozond, a.k.a. Bad Noz) in End Time. I think. That's all really confusing.
![]() My impression is that we got rid of the Infinite Dragonflight once and for all there, or at least its leader. Not to say there aren't others left or that Nozzy won't become Murozond anyway. Along that line of thought, the only chance for future CoT instances would be like the Hyjal raid, where you just help figureheads who succeeded in seemingly impossible situations, making the stories a little more believable. By the way, Jaina definitely helped on Rage Winterchill and Anetheron (look at that badass spirit buff ), and Thrall went nuts with the Doomhammer on Kaz'rogal and Azgalor. Tyrande indirectly helps by giving the players some fancy drugs to help them hold off Archimonde as long as possible while Malfy gets ready for his big moment by polishing his horn (no double meaning intended, or is it?).Also, the raid through Stormwind with Lothar sounds incredibly badass and I would love if that was implemented.

You'd have to be fleeing Stormwind, right? If you want to be on the winning side, it'd have to be with Doomhammer.

Yeah, I was referencing Reignac's entire post. You'd only be with Lothar, and you'd be helping him get through the city to save the King, then retreat to the docks with Varian. You'd basically stay behind to fight Doomhammer as Lothar sails off with the refugees, and your actions would assure that he gets away. You're not necessarily on the winning side, you just get to participate in an old event, while making it more believable that it actually happened, similar to Hyjal and Well of Eternity where you're just a group of soldiers in the army that happens to be assisting at the scene of major events. You're remembered only as soldiers.
