Autumn 2012, nope?

Anyway, Series 6 was my least favorite series (only Christmas Carol and Silence 2-part were really worth it). I hope they improve with 7.

Somebody took into account episode 5 or 6 is supposed to be the Christmas one and calculated from that it's going to start in like middle of November.

September or October, I believe?

This new scheduling is balls. 6 eps this year followed by 6 next year. That's just giving us extended periods of blue balls.

You know, i started watching New Who (beginning with Chris Ackelson) because i wanted to finally end up watching Matt Smith's doctor (whom i saw on LAG's reviews of season 6 and i really liked his style).

And now i'm setting here, looking at my four seasons plus specials of New Who, thinking only "i want Tennant back"... Not that i don't like Smith (i haven't seen a single episode of his as of yet), but really... Ten had such a great run... hilariously i truly hated the Christmas Invasion ^^

Also: Nine is underated. Seriously fucking underated.

Tennant was the best, Eccleston second, Baker third.

I like Matt Smith (even though he looks like a foot) more than Eccleston, but I agree 9 is very underappreciated. He's... fantastic

Nine gets plenty of love. Six is the only really under appreciated Doctor.

I didn't like Nine. Ten and Eleven are both awesome, but they seem like two totally different characters to me so it feels weird to compare them. I definitely love Moffat's writing and I think Doctor Who is at the best it's ever been and Porimlys can suck it.

I think Ten and Eleven being so different is kind of the point. When Ten was about to die he was HORRIBLY afraid of it because he felt like he was ACTUALLY dieing, not just regenerating. As if "he was dead, and a new man stumbles away", to paraphrase his words. And lo and behold, that was exactly what happened. To me that's just heartbreaking: seeing this guy, who's done absolutely everything he could to save as many as possible, from sole humans to entire time-lines to the multiverse itself... reduced to someone who knows he's going to die soon and someone else is going to overtake his body. It really does shape my outlook on regeneration as a whole and i'm generally not entirely convinced that "The Doctor" actually includes all of his incarnations. Every single one of them seems to be a different person, not just a different arranged one. It doesn't help that the show doesn't seem to have made up it's own opinion on this matter either.

Tennant was by far the best for me... though I have only followed the new Doctor Who so...

Second best is the guy from season 5 and 6.

Regarding Moffat's writing of 11th Doctor... I both love and hate Moffat's writing style. I mean, he's great at writing characters - motivations, personalities, quirks, etc. He's rubbish at writing plots though. Some of series 6 episodes are really getting into too messed up territories.

I don't think he is good at writing characters at all. Everyone he writes is one dimensional with quirks thrown in to cover up their lack of personality. This is sometimes saved by good actors though. His plots are just timey wimey soap operas which fall apart because they are so full of holes.

I don't like him. Well he is good at writing scary stuff.

Maybe you're right, maybe it's all just the actors. The thing is, I like a few of his characters. Except River. She's terrible.

Overall, Series 6 was too dark and too weird and cheap at most of the episodes.

Also, I'll never forgive them for the fucking mess "Curse of the Black Spot" was. Stupid episode was full of shit, and even a character disappeared without any explanation at all.

Hitler episode was overhyped and then it was crap. Demon's Run missed too many old good characters. Stormaggedon episode was "oh, I kill them with love, trolol", FUCK YOU. Minotaur? Pathetic. Flesh 2-part? lot of unexplained stuff, and a complete mess. Night Terrors was retarded.

Moffat lacks that "childish" style of Davies. Every Series 1-4 episode made you smile because of the plot. Series 5 was pretty good, but 6 turned too weird.

Anyway, Fear Her and Love & Monsters are still the WORST episodes ever.

My top 15 favorite episodes:
-1: Blink
-2: The Girl from the Fireplace
-3: A Christmas Carol
-4: The Impossible Planet
-5: The Time of Angels
-6: Gridlock
-7: Utopia
-8: The Impossible Astronaut
-9: The Beast Below
-10: Turn Left
-11: The Pandorica Opens
-12: The Stolen Earth
-13: Doomsday
-14: The End of the World
-15: The Family of Blood

My top 5 "fuck this shit" episodes:
-1: Fear Her
-2: Love & Monsters
-3: Curse of the Black Spot
-4: Night Terrors
-5: Closing Time

Edit: Hated how during Series 6 they didn't change one of the protagonists, like they did during all the previous seasons.

Also, Martha was my favorite companion. I'm sad she's so underrated .

Captain Harkness, Smith and Jones bounty hunters, UNIT and Jenny need to be back, too.

I always thought it was Doctor Who flavor to be full of plotholes which then get nonchalantly handwaved. I just enjoy the series one episode at a time, and its great overall feel ofc.
