Stone drakes, storm drakes and maybe fire hawks became dragons maybe. Probably some Curse of Flesh nonsense.

Proto-drakes were altered by the titans to become dragons.

Galakrond was a proto-drake, but from him titans created both dragons and the Aspects.

Already quoted.

Now that I look at the actual art, they do look the same as WoWs. Bah, old memories.

He's slyly saying that they look like dragons now, because they do.
Wings + head = dragon

And what of this "coatl"/"coutal"? The thing that looks like a wind serpent?

It looked like a pile of blocks with blocks on it then a pixely skin to me.

They really should reskin the Wildheart Regalia helm for this awful helm... just for histories sake.

Couatl are totally wind serpent kin (and should totally be in the damned game already)

No relation to the Aztec feathered-serpent-god Quetzalcoatl, none whatsoever.

No, they weren't that big of course. Either that one is big, or the ones in TFT were small (purposely or due to limitations on size).
