What would happen to Zemo? I mean the guy turned the Avengers against each other and had some very important info like the HYDRA files including the Winter Soldier's activate code. Isn't he very "useful" in the eyes of some government individuals?

I liked it a lot. But I really thought at least someone would die. It kind of lowered the stakes after everything. I was like 90% sure Cap would die or otherwise be taken out of the picture (to set up for his inevitable resurrection at the 11th hour at some point down the line in Infinity War). I kind of wish they had gone all the way with War Machine and killed him, just so the stakes would be higher, but I guess they already accomplished that in an emotional sense with the footage of Stark's parents.

I really liked the super-soldier bait-n-switch toward the end. They knew the exact expectations people watching a superhero movie would have seeing that plotline and they totally flipped it on it's head. I love that kind of subversion.

Came out really looking forward to Spiderman. I got so excited when the QUEENS overlay played on the screen. I'm also ready for more infinity stone plot so Ragnarok can't get here fast enough. Hoping for good things.

Also, the Carter niece's speech was paraphrased from this Cap monologue from the comics, in case you didn't realize.

Agreed. It was really well done. And I'm down for more.

Same goes for women heroes. Bolvar's daughter needs more of that.

I just saw the movie earlier today, and I really liked it. Much more so than I anticipated I would. It's weird, but I like it for entirely different reasons than I liked Winter Soldier. With that, I loved the espionage feel to it, as well as the plot and action. With Civil War, of course I loved the action, but what I most enjoyed was the characters this time around. So much so that I'm disappointed I'm going to have to wait two years for Infinity War to roll around before I get to see them again in any meaningful way. I'm probably going to go see this again in a week or so, I liked it so much.

The plot is still not as good as Winter Soldier because too many characters were inserted.

Which is probably why they chucked him in a cell in a deep dark pit where there are almost certainly no lawyers.

Did anyone else get the feeling that the "civil war" wasn't really finished or was that just me?

I like RDJ as well, but I don't think it has anything to do with attractiveness.

I think Zemo could come back but Black Panther stopped him from killing himself so he could face justice. After all he is guilty of a bombing and multiple murders.

But what if someone inside the government find him "useful"?

I think we'll see residual effects in the next several movies, to be sure.

Then again, if Infinity War is that big a deal, and a major threat to Earth, I could see the UN just tearing up the accords to get the Avengers all back together to handle it... it's not impossible to write your way out of that corner.

The movie was great.
Airport fight was fun but felt harmless - nothing would happen to anyone anyway as they all were bros.
The end, however was amazing. Especially the shot of Bucky's arm and Cap's shield laying on the ground with broken and beaten Iron Man. The whole build up, reveal of Zemo's plan and fight was executed very well.

Captain American was right.

Come on now, obviously they'd handle it by making Thanos a voting member on the Human Rights Council.

Yeah but he's unlikely to be executed and we all know how imprisoned villains work.

I hope so. Not sure they should start trusting each other that quickly even with a bigger threat. Being put in a strait-jacket 24\7 would make anyone bitter.

Yeah I don't imagine the Accords would have that great an affect on whether they all get to fight the bad guys. I was thinking more within the Avengers. Wakanda may well withdraw from them plus everyone's gonna fight the alien invader over each other anyway.

I do want to see if Spiderman changes his tune after he learns about what he was actually fighting for. He seemed completely unaware of the actual situation.

How come Peggy is 95 but her niece is only like 25-30? And Tony is around 50 but his dad should be 100+ years old if he was alive.
