Yeah, I know of a few people who just shouldn't drink.

Like the afore mentioned cousin, he is a really cool and interesting guy; but when he gets beyond a certain point of drunkenness he totally changes and become confrontational, obstinate and boring, just horribly annoying.

I guess so. I mean, I dislike the taste and only drink when my friends coerce me, but I still drink. Besides, I like some cocktails.

Fuck, I like to listen to music loud when I'm drunk, I just love it. Even though I dislike people who play loud music when I'm sober.

Perhaps I know more drunks then I am aware?

I've long wondered what the equivalent to the "don't drink before noon" rule is when you wake up at four in the afternoon. Anywho, cider ho!

Drunk or sober I still really hate bars where they play music beyond a certain volume. Such places are absolutely miserable to me.

Though I do remember how one time a friend and I got pretty smashed and we ended up singing the entire Mariner's Revenge Song in a bar.

Actually I agree. When I am out I want to talk to people, not intermittently shout to no effect. As a negative bonus the music that is prevalent in my country's bars I absolutely loathe on all levels.

I like to listen to loud music when I am alone or with a close friend who likes music too.

My cousins own a distillery of Rakija (a type of hard liquor), and they specialize in the good stuff.

Fun times.

But if we are strictly speaking of beer, my favorite foreign beer is Becks, followed by Amstell.

The time between when you get off work and when you go to sleep is fair game, in general. That's how I take it.

I like a lot of the different Sam Adams brews, which is semi-local being brewed in Boston, Dogfish head makes one of the few IPAs which I genuinely enjoy the taste of, and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout, which is damn near my favorite beer in the world.

Saw a few on the shelves while purchasing wine today. Sadly they were some of the lesser pumpkin ales, but still a harbinger of the times to come.

Drank some of this not too long ago.

Fucking amazing, nice berry flavor with a bitter aftertaste. Looks like Worgen blood in a bottle.

1. not much at all. Mostly for special occations and with food.

2. Red wine.

3. I stop at a slight buzz unless I'm at one of my wine guild meetings. Then I drink untill all of the wine we taste are gone and perhaps a glass or two of the dinner wine.

Oktoberfest is coming up!
Already trained, might try to ex (drink in one go) an entire stein (that's one liter). It's pretty much THE Oktoberfest achievement. You get on the bench and raise your stein. The music stops. The crowd stares. And if you succeed, you get roaring applause and free food and drink.
If you fail, you're shamed for life (double because you'll probably throw up).

Best part is the thundering belch after downing an entire liter.
Most difficult part is not to break your neck when you get off the bench.

Oh on topic: I drink shitloads of beer.

I toured the Great Divide brewery in Denver, CO over New Years. So many tasty brews. And it smelled so good in there. All breweries smell amazing.

Brother makes it. He lives in Oregon. I kinda fear he might tip into hipster territory one day.

1. Frequently, but responsibly as a social drinker. I'm a grad student. These things naturally go hand in hand.

Beer, wine (prefer dry reds), whisky (single-malt Scotch and bourbon).

After a few drinks or the booze is gone.
