I went last year and was completely heartbroken by the (non)event. I won't be going back.

I had a much better time in 2010 than I did in 2009. 2009, while it had a lot of stuff going on, also meant that I had no chance to meet anyone. I made plenty of new friends and also had the chance to really interact with many Blizz employees, something I couldn't do in 2009. Granted, in 2009 I was still working for WCradio and as the new guy I was their A/V bitch, whereas 2010 I was with Blizzplanet and things were far more relaxed.

Oh, I see how it is now. My buying you that Alliance Mountain Dew at Blizzcon 2009 meant NOTHING to you. Well, I hope you enjoy Blizzcon 2011, and good luck finding someone to play with through whatever new WoW zones are demoed because I won't be there. Ha!

...naw, seriously, I hope you have a fun time at this year's Blizzcon and get the opportunity to ask the dev team good questions. That was perhaps my biggest disappointment at Blizzcon 2009 -- I was only a few persons away from getting to ask Chris Metzen a question before time ran out at the panel.

Last year I was only a few heads behind IGoD before they ran out of time, but I recouped that by having a chance to talk to Evelyn Fredricksen and Brian Kindregan a lot last year, and everything was very ad-hoc. This year I'm making a dedicated lore strike-force to try and corner as many members of CDev as possible.

At the price as it is I don't see the value, would be nice to interface with peeps but I think TGS and Gamescom do that better.

And more fun. Granted I always felt its just easier to go off of a given player's character/avatar/whatever they choose to represent themselves in a given online medium, as normally people select such images for one reason or another. I could care less what your RL gender/condition/age/whatever is, because just like in RP, it doesn't matter, just the online personality you've created and maintain.

Well, except in certain kind of RPs. I know that when I was in a guild and excessive gore, violence, sexuality, etc... was going to be done, I made sure everyone present was 18+ (or at least legally of age within their own state/country to be exposed to such stuff).

Granted I'm from Moon Guard and a confessed Mage-who-makes-feline-druids-purr, so take that where you want XD

But as an example, my mage did once get asked to torture someone for information, and she complied, but only after -I- had made sure those present and those who would be given transcripts of the RP were 18+. If someone had been too young or whatever, I would have ICly refused with the arrogant reply, "I've got bigger fish to fry."
