I don't tend to call myself an aficionado on much, however, I'm something of an action figure aficionado. Now, I thought Blizzard's in-house figures were ok, but nothing special. Toycom's were a devastating disappointment. DC Unlimited, however, has really upped the ante, giving the current Action Figure powerhouses a run for their money. Now, for those of you who don't know, the series was released with named characters who we'd never heard of before: Rehgar Earthfury, Thoras Anvilmar, Valeera Sanguinar, and Meryl Felstorm. It's recently been revealed that at least a few of these characters are also in the comic. I'm not sure which came first, or who's basing what characters on what, but there it is.
So now, I'm going to go through the very pointless process of saying how I wished it had gone. We start with every game as a different property. Warcraft 1: Anduin Lothar, Medivh, Blackhand, Garona. Warcraft II: Gul'dan, Orgrim Doomhammer, Zul'jin, Uther Lightbringer, Terenas Menethil Beyond the Dark Portal: Alleria Windrunner, Turalyon, Teron Gorefiend, Dentarg The following games have four three-figure series, for 12 figures per game. Reign of Chaos: Series 1: The Scourge of Lordaeron Arthas Menethil, Jaina Proudmoore, Muradin Bronzebeard Series 2: Path of the Damned Arthas 2 (Death Knight), Kel'Thuzad (as a necromancer), Tichondrius Series 3: Invasion of Kalimdor Thrall, Grom Hellscream, Mannoroth Series 4: Eternity's End Tyrande Whisperwing, Malfurion Stormrage, Archimonde Frozen Throne Series 1: Terror on the Tides Illidan Stormrage, Maiev Shadowsong, Lady Vashj Series 2: Curse of the Blood Elves Kael'thas Sunstrider, Lord Garithos, Akama Series 3: Legacy of the Damned Sylvanas Windrunner, Anub'arak, Balnazzar Series 4: The Founding of Durotar Rexxar, Rokhan, Daelin Proudmoore World of Warcraft then has a number of 4-figure series focusing on different groups of characters. Series 1: Racial Leaders Bolvar Fordragon, Cairne Bloodhoof, Magni Bronzebeard, Varimathras Series 2: Dungeons Darkmaster Gandling, Baron Rivendare, Prince Tortheldrin, Princess Theradras Series 3: Raids Rend Blackhand, Hakkar, Ragnaros, Kel'Thuzad (as a lich) Series 4: Dragons! Onyxia, Nefarian, Azuregos, Anachronos Series 5: Burning Crusade Racial Leaders Velen, Lor'themar Theron, Khadgar, A'dal (not sure how they'd do it, though) Series 6: Burning Crusade Dungeons Kargath Bladefist, Murmur, Warlord Kalithresh, Patheleon the Calculator Series 7: Burning Crusade Raids Gruul, Mother Shahraz, Naj'entus, Solarian Series 8: Burning Crusade Dragons Nightbane, Naltharaku, Sapphiron, Emeriss That's right. I want a million action figures. |

A Lothar figurine would be more than enough for me.

Sadly they will never make most of those. There are people who don't even know who the hell Garona is. Everything is geared towards WoW players now, which are like 75% people who don't care about any of the other games
