Submit SDCC: Blizzard Panel Questions
A friend of Omacron is attending San Diego Comic Con. She will forward questions to the Blizzard panel -- panelists: Chris Metzen, Nick Carpenter, Hank Kanalz (DC), Christie Golden, Cory Jones (WoW TCG), and Kat Hunter (Blizzard Licensing Project Manager).
I will try to get clearance for her to do some one-on-one interviews on top of the public Q&A. That's not guaranteed, but at least the public Q&A is a venue to ask on your behalf. Topics:

Hmm think I have a Diablo one...
We know that Deckard Cain has a history with many characters in the story. Is it possible we will learn more about his past with characters such as Tal Rasha or Tyrael?

(1) Are there any plans to return Warcraft to a monthly comic format?
(2) What factors were behind the decision to forgo monthlies and instead pursue graphic novels? (3) Might we expect to see TCG, Action figure, and graphic novel characters appear in the World of Warcraft game world?

An animated series (anime-style if you wish so): when?
With how far the world has gone, it's only common sense that we should get a cartoon series sooner or later. Wouldn't be hard to produce a machinimia series, or a series just using all the in-game models.

If they must ape an anime styled series, at least ape one that does it right... which ironically isn't japanese made. The Last Airbender series did so many things right with their storytelling and characterization. So, if they want to utilize a story structure, use that one!

On a more serious note, I'd like to ask if there will be more... -attention- paid to the lore in them.
The example of Reghar being a slave owner, and Thrall making him an advisor, yet the conflict there never being addressed... Yeah. That. Those things. THEY SHOULDN'T HAPPEN!

Is the out-of-game media (books, comics, manga etc.) going to continue to be the main method of telling important plot points in WoW (e.g. Aveena being the Sunwell, Varian's return to Stormwind, Malfurion's return in Stormrage, most of the events in the Shattering), or are these events going to be integrated into the game's narrative more in the future?
