Besides, they still have their hands full with the original WoW, why do an expansion. I realize they have their 1-year-after-release timeline for all their expansions, but us starcraft fans need some loving!

Totally relevant thread necro.

1. It's amazing how long people waited for SC2.
2. It's amazing how long people have been waiting for Diablo 3.
3. Who the hell are those other two admins?
4. If we assume Pandaria is announced as the WoW expansion, and a Diablo 3 release date is given, and potentially a SC2 expansion release date is given, and, on top of that, details on Titan are given, this could be the biggest Blizzcon ever.

(hey, I can hope...)

I think the earliest date (which was even then just randomly thrown out by Morhaine) is 2012 for info. 2010 was indeed a waste. I sincerely hope Blizzard learned that it's better not to have a convention at all than to put out a turd like that.

Blizz was apparently pretty close to not having Blizzcon 2010 but they decided to do it "for the fans", or at least, that's what they told me.

I can say that, while there wasn't much news at Blizzcon '10, I had a much better time conversing with Blizz staff and, personally, the "blizzchat live" roundtables they had were great fun and I made some long lasting friends there. I'm not sure I would've dropped all that money to go to California for them, but they were nice and I had a fun time. I'm guessing (hoping?) that they have a lot of news this year to compensate.

Least this year there will be something but they raised the price once again and nor will I dish out 40 dollars for the stream when there are...other ways to watch it for free.
