Default WoW + Simpsons?

I must have missed this episode, but its pretty funny.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=XuIOwy65kTs

Its mostly designed to be a spoof on multiple MMOs, but you can see WoW influence the majority of the time.

Noticable WoW Spoofs.

The character select screen with the orc and undead (and a murloc spoof).

The interface of the game in the begining.

Bart's castle is an exact replica of the throne room in the Undercity, with the lion hands on the sides, the symbol on the floor, and the large twin doors on the far end and the tunnels on the sides.

When Bart is leaving the tavern, he says "I am going to go explore the crevices of Lagrimmar."

After Bart kills Marge in the game, they cut to Bart over her virtual body in a casket, in a area that looks a awful lot like alter were King Terenas was supposed to have his urn, the one right behind the throne in Undercity.

Amusing to say the least, if there was anything keeping WoW from icon statis for this generation, it just went out the door.

It's fairly decent, though I still preferred South Park's parody. That one had more references for players of the game to recognize in its overall presentation, whereas the Simpsons one leaned more frequently toward non-players making fun of people who play MMORPG's.

Many of the Simpsons jokes could be passed off as poking fun at fantasy in general, regardless of their similarity to WoW places and names. On the other hand, who but an actual player would have the sense of instant recognition when the uber-player in South Park jumped around like he did after killing everyone? And Cartman's flippantly dismissive response upon Kyle telling him "I'm an arcane/fire mage" was absolutely priceless, but would be lost on anyone who isn't specifically playing WoW.

Still, both were pretty funny overall.

I laughed once.

No matter how shitty Simpsons have become, Moe will never lose his magic.

The South Park spoof was better.

I liked "Shouldn't you bundle up? Let me enchant your pants."

It's so hard to play video games with your mom. The first time she got a fatality off successfully she said "Oh that poor man."

I still like the part in South Park where the uber guy walks up to the folks, dances in front of them and then kills them lol. Not to mention when Clyde went AFK while auto shooting (plays a lvl 70 hunter)

Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon

Nah, IMO the South Park WoW-spoof was worse.

This one wasn't fantastic either, but it had a joke about Computer Game Female Anatomy.

I thought the funniest part of the South Park episode was Randy's part, and the "we can't trust the Sword of 1000 Truths to a mere noob!" exchange.

Ultimately, however, I thought the episode was weak largely due to Blizzard's involvement and likely subsequent absence from the abuse. Obviously I'm not going to claim that the players should avoid all scorn, but to direct the satire solely at them and leave Blizzard unscathed - when they've done a lot of sketchy things lately (and I'm not just talking about lore, here) - was, I think, a little irresponsible. It seemed like corporate-sponsored satire.

Blizzard had nothing to do with the Simpsons episode.

South Park. Blizzard apparently made all the in-game scenes.
