You can't run a game company by pissing off fans who've spent hundreds of dollars to come enjoy themselves. Yes there are 12 million+ Blizzard fans, but you have to remember that each time they piss off a significant enough chunk of them they lose more than just an attendee...they lose that customer's future transactions as well. And Blizz relies on customer retention for its games much more so than other companies due to the limited number of products they produce.

Correct. Blizzard has almost done TOO good with their Horde faction anti-heroes.

The anti-heroes, at this point, are a hell of a lot more compelling than the regular heroes.

And the traditionalists who just want to play a straight-up hero are getting a little tired of it.

I would hope there's a little more Alliance love in Mists. We'll see.

It's an unnecessary burden to avoid deliberately insulting people who give you money for the highly unnecessary stuff you click and type into existence?

I can guarantee you less than 2% of Horde fans have even seen a carpet up close, least of all munch one.

Now as for people who pointed out that Blizzard would lose customers and soon after money. I say who cares. One, those fans leaving would make for a much better game. Two, Blizzard really deserves a kick in the subscriptions so they get off their asses and put genuine effort into this game, like they did before, on all fronts.
