It's very strange, because I am more excited about this next patch then I was for the last one, and I really liked the last one. Here are a few of the things I like the most.
Reduced Leveling Time - As someone with 8 alts, this is going to help a ton with finally letting me get some of them up into the near end game. All of them are around the level for Dustwallow too, so I will be able to take advantage of the 60 new quests. Hunter Upgrades - Arcane Shot Dispell, Improved Traps, DEADZONE REMOVED! It sounds too good to be true. Dispell is going to be hell for non-ret Paladin, as a BM/Survival Hunter my traps are one of my main abilities so the extra damage from my RAP is going to be awesome, and I don't even need to mention why the Deadzone being removed is great, it was the Hunter's biggest weakness. LW Upgrades - Can't wait to see the new glove enchantments, extra large quivers (money money money) and improved drums. Also glad they made all the drums more accessable, so far the only ones I have are Drums of War and I was hoping to fix that. Guild Banks - Its going to be nice to have a good interface to see what the guilds has and thus what I can ask to possibly use. I wonder how many people are going to make fake guilds for all the extra space? I am thinking of making one for my alts just so they all could share a massive storage space for all the mats and such I send them. More Dailies - Daily Quests were probably one of the better ideas to come out of Blizzard, its strange how different grinding can feel if you actually have a goal in front of you. I would never go down into the Nethermine if not for all the Netherwing Dailies and all the gold I can make from them, and also thankfully due to the Dailies I have a easy and plentiful skinning spot (Always a bunch of dead and looted flayers and ravagers down in the Nethermine, its like a Miner walking into a room full of nodes just for you.) The only thing that would make this extremely awesome would be more farming spots for Motes of Air, why does everything good in LW have to take the hardest primal to farm? Hate it so much. |

Yeah, new fast leveling it's great.
But, what do they do, make enemies give more exp or make you need lower exp? Anyway, anyone would be able to level up faster, and the damned 30-40 would be easier with the new dustwallow content!! I love too the remaked items. I hated it when a critter form Outland gave better items that Kel'Thuzad.

15% Less XP required per level between 20-60. Increased XP from Quests, and Greatly increased XP from quests from 50-60. Extra XP from Instance Elites. Its going to be a lot faster if you run instances or just do quests. A whole lot faster. Last edited by ScytheRexx : 10-15-2007 at 10:36 AM. |

Yeah, I am in the same boat as you. I have a lot of alts in the 30-40 range that I could not stand leveling. That level range is absolutely painful. So I can't wait.
And yes, finally some LWing buffs. That profession has been so ignored. I gotta say too, I'm glad I never went ahead and bought Drums of Speed pattern for the friggin' ~160g+ it was going for. I still think this profession needs a buttload of work, but at least this is a step in the right direction. And I know Blizzard knows too, because they specifically mentioned it in one of the WotLK interviews as something they want to improve. Also looking forward to the Dailies. I have been looking for SOME information on what they are, but no one friggin' posts that. Only thing I've seen are the new cooking recipe food. And, little things like this: Quote:

I hope the "Reducing the xp grind" is good as it sounds to be, for all we know they might reduce it just a little and we won't be able to notice the difference.

Its nice buffs indeed to Hunters and Leveling, i also love the fact their bringing disarming back to this game, it makes so many noob-warriors getting raped by the better ones atleast.
![]() I dislike the fact the good pvp cloaks require heroic badges cuz pvp gear shouldn't require any instancing at all. ;/ |

While I appreciate the leveling boon, I only have on alt that'd benefit from it. I'm actually looking forward to ZA- my guild doesn't have the numbers for Gruul or Mag, and a new raid to break up the monotony of KARA KARA KARA HEROICS KARA KARA sounds nice.

just my 2 cents. ;/ EDIT: Ofcourse if you just meant by Battleground/fun gametime-playing and not serious arena pvp, its very understandable why your happy about the retri buffs, their good. ![]() Last edited by Drz : 10-15-2007 at 02:48 PM. |

Every class that uses mana can sit and drink when out of combat, and every class when in combat CAN'T sit and drink. Why can't a Paladin sit and drink when out of combat? I know my Paladin does all the time whether healing or DPSing, since the other casters are often doing it anyways. |

Paladin needs to be in melee range to deal damage, if he lets the enemy run away he can go and drink/bandage, I just don't see any use of retribution paladins in arenas. ;/ Disarmable (like all classes next patch, but warriors can have 50% less duration on disarm), their main source of dps is mana which means you can manaburn it (yes this goes to all mana classes aswell), but the thing that really blows for paladins is that you can just dispel their vengeance. ;/
Sure Retri paladins work for duels, world pvp and battlegrounds but i highly doubt in arenas. ;/ |

Also, the Paladin's main DPS is done through Seals and Judgements, which will be 100% undispellable next patch if you are smart in Ret and get Sanctified Seals, Vindication is being improved to reduce all stats by 15% which means that mage with a huge mana pool or that druid with a lot of health will lose a huge chunk of either stat, plus other debuffs. Don't even get me started on mana effciency, the only way a Paladin should be out of mana is if the entire other team had Priests using manaburns over and over. If you are worried about disarm at least the Paladin can still heal when disarmed, a warrior or rogue has it much worst because they lose the only thing they can do in the arena, DPS, so a smart Paladin disarmed or not will react to the situation better. If the Paladin is a newb on the other hand and runs around like a chicken with its head cut off after disarmed, then he needs to learn how to play a hybrid. All I can say is that a lock being able to deplete half my life with the application of his DoTs alone is not amusing.

Don't I know it, I was once in Ogri'la standing around when before I could even move I was hit with a warlocks dots. I didn't want to deal with it so I flew away on my mount, only to get 100ft then dying in mid air, went from full life to nothing in just one round of affliction dots, no way to remove them on my hunter.
Needless to say I was pissed. Warlocks should not be either you die, or you both die, when you fight them. |

Well said.
Once I flew over Halaa and realised that a lock had stacked up his DoTs on me. I died that time too.

Don't think it's worth stacking up on them just for every encounter with a Warlock. Besides he can re-apply them in the time it takes you to fire off an Aimed Shot or do anything worthwhile.

That potion removes a curse, a disease, and a poison. Corruption is Magic, so it can not be wiped by the potion. Unstable Affliction is Magic, so it can not be wiped by the potion. (Nor would I want it to, as I would instead take an instant 1500 damage and silence) Siphon Life is Magic, so it can not be wiped by the potion. Immolate, just to add it for giggles, is Magic, so it can not be removed by the potion. So what does that leave for the potion to remove? Curse of Agony, a spell that at highest rank costs less then 300 mana and is instant cast, no cooldown. If the Warlock is also Affliction he can just get the mana back in two seconds from his pet using Dark Ritual. The potion on the other hand has a cooldown of two minutes, and stops my shot rotation for the duration of the "drink". By the time I actually start doing my white damage again, the pet will already have beat me for even more health and the warlock would already have the DOT on me again. You picked a bad example for a hunter to wipe Warlock DOTs. |
