Default I am now offering you a better idea of roleplaying a pandaren!

Since Exile and Lowtide had asked me about this, maybe I should bring it to public and givie everyone a better understanding of Chinese names if they want to make their pandarens sound more "pandaren!"

Shadow Play => 皮影戏 Piyingxi

As a shaman I'd like an "elemental" name. Something earth or water related as those are the elements I usually associate him with.

How would, for example, "humble mountain" translate into Chinese? Or my forum handle, "low tide"?

Thank you!

For "low tide" => 低潮 Dichao

For "humble mountain" => 谦山 Qianshan

Also, for more elemental like names,
Here are several I can think of...

Blazing Fire => 烈火 Liehuo
Still Water => 静水 Jingshui
Wind Wave => 风波 Fengbo
Sky Shatter => 破天 Potian
Storm Rain => 岚雨 Lanyu
Thunder Clash => 雷霆 Leiting
Wood Song => 木歌 Muge
Wolf Howl => 狼嚎 Langhao
Hundred Bear => 百熊 Baixiong
Cyclone Pinnacle => 旋巅 Xuandian

Whatever... you guys can ask me. I am glad to help.
Now open to everyone!

Use "Zhurong" as last time if you want to be related with fire.

I wonder to what extent this cash-cow insults Asian cultures.

Nice choice. Zhulong is the name of the god of fire in ancient China's mythology. And the god of water, the name is Gong'Gong.

Sadly, those were the simplified ones. You don't want to know the hoops I jumped through for my non-Pandaren (Arabic/Latin/Nordic) names.

Ouch, well at least the other one is good right?

Also I'll use this unique opportunity to ask if the Chinese have different names for European countires, like how Germans call their country Deutschland while the English call it Germany and us Serbs call it (transliterated) Nemachka. Do the Chinese have such unique(ish) names for European countries?

If so, and if Serbia has one, then tell me how is Serbia and/or Serb said in Chinese? That could be an awesome nick. Sorry if this is a complex question, I know jack squat about Chinese language

Interesting... Enlighten me if you can.

And here's what I can think of... in terms of it also sounds good in Chinese

Belligerent Journalist => 征令使 Zhenglingshi

Way Too Sober => 太清 Taiqing (I love this one. It's a very good name in Chinese, and it sounds very sage like.

Even Flow => 平流 Pingliu

Yes... For German, we call it 德意志 De-yi-zhi, or simply De-guo, where guo means nation.

And about Serbia, We call it 塞尔维亚 Sai-er-wei-ya, it means the land of Serb.

I've been reading into an ancient style of Chinese philosophy called "Mohism" recently as the basis for my character, but I'm having a somewhat hard time coming up for a name for the character. I know I want his name to include "Tzu" in some capacity.

Mohism was a philosophy with a lot of parallels to Greek stoicism, albeit with a lot of focus on the arrangements of the state, so a Chinese word/character emphasizing rigidity or stubbornness would be good.

Not necessary. Actually the names we majorly talk about are the names of the Han people. But there are also some other races in China. Give your panda a Tibet name or a Mongolian name or a Hmong name should be good as well.
