Yes.

I mean, have you ever seen trolls eat someone? At most you have hearsay about a Horde troll.

That's okay. I'd rather read a novel about Dwarves/Trolls/Tauren/Gnomes/Goblins/Ogres/Cockatiels.

Eh, I honestly don't really care that much. Personally I'd like an actual novel involving the Pandaren at some point though, but something other than Humans/Night Elves/Orcs is interesting right now as well.

Just because the Pandaren don't star doesn't mean they wont be a big part.

After all, Rise of the Horde didn't star the Draenei but we still got a good chunk of lore.

This makes me think that Troll or Tauren have good shots of being the stars. Trolls because of the Zandalar in Pandaria; Tauren because they are a big part of the Horde forces in Pandaria and that thread here that mentions Fearbreaker.

Let's be realistic here, has there ever been a troll who you felt could actually carry his own novel? Even Zabra Hexx felt like an oversight. They're usually either monsters or comic relief.

Yes. Vol'jin could work as a protagonist in a story about the inner workings and politics of the Horde, and a story about Zul'jin fighting as a guerrilla in a hopeless war against the High Elves could be compelling too. Okay, sure, neither of those premises are especially Warcraft-ey, but they could be fun reads.

Also, I'm sure something awesome could be done with the fall of the troll empires.

If we go by the standard of "has there ever been a", then we should assume that Blizzard can't cover a historical event without having Rhonin travel back in time to dominate it.

EDIT: You just wait, just wait until the Council of Several Axes and a Spear becomes a reality! Also known as the Axes of Evil.

Drat, you've discovered the plot!

Rhonin Redhair: Time Pimp, coming to bookshelves near you!

Another insidious plot to seduce the Troll tribes, convincing them to sign away their land rights through treaties that promise cheap booze and raptor hookers.

C'mon! That novel writes itself!

Maybe this time he gets hit with a stray hammer, explaining the need for Jaina to take his place.

I'm rooting for a Goblin fueled retrospective look at Troll history. Blood, thunder, cannibalism, and explosions all wrapped up with refreshing island breezes and tropical hemocoladas.

Dude, I'd love for the Trolls and Goblins to be as culturally synergetic as they were in the Warcraft II manual. At least for part of their history, maybe just a few specific tribes and cartels...

I haven't read it or even know the title but I CAN SAY that the subject matter is very good, very interesting and certain people on this forum are gonna like it.

Oh, and it stars individuals of a certain race who have never had a book before. No humans, elves or orcs here, nosireebob.
You might even say they are going to..........

Troll us.

If it's not about Humans then odds are it's not about the Forsaken either considering how Blizzard has been pushing them lately.

I bet they are going to just wrap up the Zandalari, Queen Azshara, Neptulon, Emerald Dream, N'zoth, Oldgod and Legion plots in the book so that we never ever have to experience it in the game ever... some bullshit about Thrall, Rhonin, malfurion and Varian defeating them all off screen.

If we're taking bets, I say its a Vol'jin book. Probably with some Garrosh and Zandalar stuff too if I'm right.

That would make it about Orcs, Elves, and Humans.

Omacron said it revolves around none of those races which also disqualifies Blood Elves and the way that Blizzard has been writing the Forsaken.

He also said "some people on this forum will like it." This makes me think it's gonna be about the Trolls and how the Humans were mean to them.

Two Forsaken will be sitting in a tavern, drinking. One of them will remark about how proud he is of Lordaeron.

The other one will take a swig, roll his undead eyes, and comment that only losers believe Sylvanas's propaganda. They're all just rotting corpses, not the same people they were before.

The argument escalates. Different Forsaken in the tavern overhear it and decide to put in their two cents.

It all ends in a bar fight. An epic zombie bar fight.
